Yup there was an article on BBC or somewhere similar saying he'd gone into train driving if I remember rightly.Proposition Joe wrote: ↑Tue Oct 01, 2019 10:43 am Larkins quit the game I think, seem to remember reading something along those lines last season.

Re: Charlie Grainger joins Dulwich Hamlets
I remember when Larkin's was reserve keeper, I said he wouldn't make a decent keeper, and Grainger the same. When he played, under Davis, he was terrible IMO, and of course, Justin removed him and put the goalkeeper coach, who hasn't played for years, in his place.
That was the beginning of the end at Orient, for Charlie.
Good luck to him, but I can only see him going even further down the leagues, until he packs it in and earns a living doing something else.
Nice guy, and I wish him good luck, and hope he proves me wrong.

Blimey fair point, what do we do to keepers to make two quit the game after leaving usRed_Army wrote: ↑Tue Oct 01, 2019 4:06 pmThat was Lee Butcher.gshaw wrote: ↑Tue Oct 01, 2019 3:21 pmYup there was an article on BBC or somewhere similar saying he'd gone into train driving if I remember rightly.Proposition Joe wrote: ↑Tue Oct 01, 2019 10:43 am Larkins quit the game I think, seem to remember reading something along those lines last season.

As for Grainger he seemed to start so well (England youth etc) but really stagnated and I think the Beelzebub years pretty much ruined his development, as you might expect with Rob Gagliardi as the coach

Did look an absolute liability in goal for us under Davis, let in some really poor shots whereas Sargeant seemed the better stopper but needed to work on positioning and crosses.
