No place for such behaviour. Not fans, just racist thugs. Get rid.

As bad as your Saturday afternoon was, just be thankful you went home last night and haven’t woken up this morning in a police cell.

Good to know that the Panda press office will be releasing a statement. It's important that R***r's voice is heard on here and his supporters get his version of events. And not just those by the facist authorities and corrupt Met.

Oh dear. We all know Mat is one to go OFF and bellow abuse at the Oppo bench or officials on a fairly regular basis: usually harmless and sometimes providing more entertainment than that offered on the pitch.
He could be thoughtless at times - both in the Stands and in writing - and overstep the mark with silly playground slurs when riled or challenged, so I hope this gets sorted quickly without charges or exclusion orders.
I dread to think what withdrawal symptoms he’d suffer if he was banned.

He'd just get that long desired season ticket at Brentford

No.
If he’s guilty, I hope he doesn’t get away with it.

We’ll, yes. Of course I agree, if charged and then found/pleads guilty. Let’s see.

Seems like those sitting near Matt say there wasn’t any racist slur so it’s gonna be difficult to prove really.
The Colchester forward guy seemed a bit ‘up for it’ in the first half deliberately knocking into Moss in an aggressive way and he definitely tried to wind up the West stand as he came off.
R***r does like to shout at the Ref or opposition bench on a regular basis but I can’t imagine it extending to Racism .

Whatever is happening on the pitch doesn't give people the right to hurl abuse.

Ive only just read the club statement.
First, Why are the club banning people while an investigation is still going on. What happened to innocent until proven guilty?
Second how can the club ban people from away games? The home team in any fixture will decide who is banned from their ground, not Nigel Travis, or Kent Teague.

The club can ban who they like.
Its perfectly reasonable.

We're hearing from a lot of people about what definitely wasnt said.
But nothing about what was said. Curious.

Don’t know the guy, but from what I’ve seen reported from those who sit near him there is doubt in my mind as to if he said anything of a racial nature, but clearly someone has reported it. I hope he didn’t, but also hope that the truth is established, as said above innocent until proven guilty.
A wider observation is there’s a tendency for some people to hurl abuse or insults or behave in a manner when in a crowd which they presumably think is ok, but probably wouldn’t consider doing similar on a one to one basis. It’s never ok to behave like that, and a reminder to all isn't a bad thing.

Can we please just stick to the facts as we know them rather than making up stuff. Here’s what I saw and have since gleaned since yesterday. Please feel free to add any additional confirmed facts.
- During the second half, the 4th official called the referee over who stopped play. The referee then spoke to the Colchester bench and some stewards, who pointed towards an area just to the side of the dugout. The game then restarted.
- A steward approached that section of the home end and was in discussion with some fans.
- An entourage of old bill - approximately a dozen? - marched down past the West Stand to that section of the home fans. Some of the police went down the tunnel, some went to the home fans end.
- The club released a statement after the game saying they were looking into an alleged racist incident. The fan had been contacted and banned until the investigation was concluded.
- The assumed perpetrator tweeted on Sunday morning that they were still on their way home and would release a full statement to their fan base.

Police actually entered the stand seating area to speak closely to the suspect during the game.
