Happens once or twice, can happen, but must have been annoying to sit near him if he did it all through the movie, especially if he was talking loudly.Proposition Joe wrote: ↑Thu Jun 20, 2019 12:50 pm If true, that's terrible behaviour to be honest. Talking through films at the cinema is unforgivable.

Re: Marvin Ekpiteta assault
I'm shocked I really like the guy & am surprised, but all the same the movies pretty loud & everybody talks for a few moments during a film, maybe the fella who got punched was acting a real areshole about it, would love to hear an eyewitnesses account,
Marvin could of just had a go at the fella instead of punching him, still wrong if he was rabbiting during the film,
I'm saying this as I don't want to think bad things about the guy.

Surely the bloke's mother was an eyewitness.

But let’s hear both sides, may have been self defence.

I reckon this is bullshit.
If it had been one of our other players, not mentioning any names, I could have believed it. But not Marv.
I reckon someone was a bit too trappy and fronted up the wrong bloke and come unstuck.

Re: Marvin Ekpiteta assault
Highly unlikely. The Crown Prosecutor must have decided there is enough evidence against the defendant for a realistic prospect of conviction. Also this is happening at Old Bailey rather than the likes of Snaresbrook which suggests that it is not a minor case.

But, on the flipside, if it was an open and shut case, surely he'd have plead guilty?RientO wrote: ↑Thu Jun 20, 2019 3:24 pmHighly unlikely. Fair enough, but we've only read one side of the argument so far, it's a bit early to be jumping to conclusions.Prestige Worldwide wrote: ↑Thu Jun 20, 2019 3:10 pmNah, I just dont want to support a thug.

Sure, I am not implying he is guilty, just establishing that it is not sh!t.Mr. Peanutbutter wrote: ↑Thu Jun 20, 2019 3:27 pmBut, on the flipside, if it was an open and shut case, surely he'd have plead guilty?RientO wrote: ↑Thu Jun 20, 2019 3:24 pmHighly unlikely. Some of the cases in Snaresbrook are sh!t. Flimsy anecdotal evidence with witnesses contradicting each other. However, even there the conviction rate is around 85%. Wouldn't surprise me if it was higher at Old Bailey.

I did google "Steven Durieux" and it came up with a French Male model. Looks like a stiff breeze would knock him over...CreamofSumYungGai wrote: ↑Thu Jun 20, 2019 3:28 pm Any images of this Steven chap so we can make a judgement?
(Probably not the same person)

Reason it's not at Snaresbrook is more likely to do with make up of Jury as it's catchment area for jurors will be more likely to include Orient fans who have a reason to be biased
