Start again in March and run through to the beginning of November in time to finish for the World Cup in December.

More games for families because of summer holidays, later nights so less electricity costs and most importantly covid/viruses lessen a lot during the summer months.

To all traditionalists I say you have to live with the times and the cards you’re dealt. Tradition goes out the window.

As I say, it’s the only sensible plan left, but when has the efl ever used any common sense.......
Not a bad plan.
And how do clubs survive without any revenue for the next 8 weeks - and no furlough scheme? Even the hospitality sector is trying to keep going, but you want football to give up??
With games being called off at short notice clubs have no income anyway plus costs they've already paid out and can't recover.

If your plan is so good then why aren't loads of clubs crying out for such a break?

It isn't my plan.

8 out of the 11 games in L2 went ahead as expected this weekend.

I always have an answer. In this case, it's obvious, as usual, that my thinking is ahead of everyone else. They'll catch up sooner or later.

I'm not stating this as certain fact but from several sources it seems that SOME football fans are now making the decision not to plan in advance to attend games that may, or may not, take place on the scheduled date. If that starts to seriously impact clubs they may come round to the idea of a formal break sooner than you think.

I like the uncertainty, it's fun. I had travelled to London when I found out the British Rovers game was off so went to the cinema to watch Titane and great stuff it was too.

kokomO wrote: Sat Jan 01, 2022 10:46 am Certainly is, all the other decision don’t add up. Extend the season to complete the games means a knock on effect/delay for next season or play 2 times a week for the rest of this season (players welfare/well being issues/competition integrity issues)

As I say, the only SENSIBLE decision left to make in my opinion
All those player contracts to sort out, chaos.
