What would you like the reason to be?Anthem of Hope wrote: ↑Mon Dec 27, 2021 5:35 am I was impressed with a recent podcast interview of him
I would like to know why he decided to resign just after mid season and not wait until the season had ended in a few months after his proposed departure date - particularly as he going be a self employed consultant and not an employee somewhere else.
If we get promoted he could added that to his cv / enjoy the moment and help plan the new season up a division
Maybe because his success is built on processes and skills that he can apply rather than football outcomes which have a degree of randomness ? And if he wanted to do something else promotion is irrelevant anyway.Anthem of Hope wrote: ↑Mon Dec 27, 2021 9:00 amMy thoughts are irrelevant and I have no view on what the answer was - it may be due to multiple reasons ie contract length/ family reasons / job satisfaction - future and past if thoughtSmendrick Feaselberg wrote: ↑Mon Dec 27, 2021 8:41 amWhat would you like the reason to be?Anthem of Hope wrote: ↑Mon Dec 27, 2021 5:35 am I was impressed with a recent podcast interview of him

I was more interested to know why a high performing high achiever would not just wait an additional 12 weeks approx that’s all- given potential real chance of promotion is a great feeling and to be part of that at the end in an active role would be very enjoyable
Perhaps he had to give 6 months notice. If I was big Nige I'd have had a 6-months notice period in his employee agreement (contract).Anthem of Hope wrote: ↑Mon Dec 27, 2021 5:35 am I would like to know why he decided to resign just after mid season and not wait until the season had ended in a few months after his proposed departure date -
I think he’s going at the end of February from what was initially announced.EliotNes wrote: ↑Mon Dec 27, 2021 7:56 pmPerhaps he had to give 6 months notice. I am only leaving (at end of Feb) because I have the opportunity to set up a Consultancy Business with a good friend and former (pre-Orient) colleague.
I am very much still in the role until that point.
No other reason I can assure, sorry, thanks, Danny
Can still be a business meeting, even if those attending partake of substances such as cheese and wine and laughing.Max B Gold wrote: ↑Tue Dec 28, 2021 2:12 pmGood. So will this consultancy business be a partnership or a company? Remember that depending on profit levels it is still tax advantageous to operate through a company and the limited liability protection it gives could save you when you screw up and get sued (obvs, not saying you will). Anyway no matter which route you go down remember client entertaining is NEVER tax deductible.
I don’t know a lot about the world of cricket, even less than I know about the world of football, but I gather there’s not as much money knocking around there?LittleMate wrote: ↑Tue Dec 28, 2021 6:01 pm If he's setting up a sports consultancy then I'm guessing he's already had a good reaction to any sounding out he's done in advance of making a decision. Since he comes from the world of cricket, the end of Feb may be ideal for what he might be trying to achieve in that particular sport?

yes I thought I was never going to catch anything and had to change the bait and tactics a few times. But I managed to present the bait attractively and in the end the take was a clean one.Currywurst and Chips wrote: ↑Wed Dec 29, 2021 3:50 pmHooking the CEO, you're the guvnorMax B Gold wrote: ↑Tue Dec 28, 2021 2:12 pmGood. The only "consultants" most of us ever need are either solicitors, accountants or doctors. I wonder how unique his Consultancy Business will be, what will he be offering that will pay more than being the CE at Orient ?
