I would like to report a poppy related incident that concerns me.

On Sunday BBC Radio Scotland were covering the Sevco game at Ayebrokes. As we know Sevco have a a sizeable death cult following and celebrate all things "military", up to and including full blown fascism.

However, they don't allow Radio Shortbread to commentate on games as they have fallen out with the BBC because they have one journalist who broadcasts the truth about the 9 year old club and asks them difficult questions.

However, on Sunday we were treated to a minutes silence from the stadium which ended with a loud boom from an artillery piece inside the ground. It was pure Poppy Porn. I imagine they also had soldiers abseiling down the main stand as in previous years.

As soon as the silence ended the broadcast cut back to the Studio so that we could listen to some babbling waffle from the presenters. Hypocrisy in action.

Here is the Porn you talk of in this vlog from a fan of the Sctlands

in place for the firing of the blanks of the big gun .

54 titles its still the same club
Harry Dunn & Gordon Neely ( alledged peadophiles )
No that club is the Old dead club .

This is from the official RBL poppy shop, FFS. A “remembrance” bottle of rum disguised as a handgrenade. Ridiculous.

That giant poppy watch Twitter account is just full of mindbottling poppy gubbins and embarassing OTT poppymas guff.

Strange how only the Old Squirm put up the same legal defence against claims by the victims.

Sevco said it wasn't them and all claims should be addressed to the Liquidator of the old company that used to be the club but aren't now because there is a new company continuing with the operation of the club which is not new but the "engine room" subsidiary within which it operates is.

Celtic said Celtic Boys Club was nothing to do with them even though they shared the same name etc and fought a protracted legal defence on that basis.

Most other clubs held their hands up and apologised and took steps to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Learned this old anti war poem at the school.

Dulce et Decorum Est

BY WILFRED OWEN

Bent double, like old beggars under sacks,

Knock-kneed, coughing like hags, we cursed through sludge,

Till on the haunting flares we turned our backs,

And towards our distant rest began to trudge.

Men marched asleep. Many had lost their boots,

But limped on, blood-shod. All went lame; all blind;

Drunk with fatigue; deaf even to the hoots

Of gas-shells dropping softly behind.

Gas! GAS! Quick, boys!—An ecstasy of fumbling

Fitting the clumsy helmets just in time,

But someone still was yelling out and stumbling

And flound’ring like a man in fire or lime.—

Dim through the misty panes and thick green light,

As under a green sea, I saw him drowning.

In all my dreams before my helpless sight,

He plunges at me, guttering, choking, drowning.

If in some smothering dreams, you too could pace

Behind the wagon that we flung him in,

And watch the white eyes writhing in his face,

His hanging face, like a devil’s sick of sin;

If you could hear, at every jolt, the blood

Come gargling from the froth-corrupted lungs,

Obscene as cancer, bitter as the cud

Of vile, incurable sores on innocent tongues,—

My friend, you would not tell with such high zest

To children ardent for some desperate glory,

The old Lie: Dulce et decorum est

Pro patria mori.

That moment where it changes from the black and white grainy footage into the colour, realistic imagery is goosebump inducing. Almost as good as when Dorothy crash lands in Oz and the same thing happens.
