Ok it's pre-season and all but that squad doesn't seem to have any creativity or drive in it apart from Smyth who looks decent.
Disturbing our weakest areas from last season CM and RB haven't seen any strengthening at all yet. Whoever comes in (surely some must be?) will need to settle very quickly.

That goal showed the difference between a L2 side and the youngsters (Joe Hart excepted) from a PL team. We will rarely see that level of skill/football in the last 3-4 passes and finish in L2 this season IMO.
Seen some hopeful signs from the new Os players plus the youngsters.
Ditto, so far. But the last 3-4 passes and finish was way above L2 standard.

Smyth looks half decent finding space behind the forward. Pratley would have seen red had this been a league game

Pratley is a CM and having an old boot play RB would be an upgrade

Lovely goal by Spurs.
I think we have done ok. Good to see that we have a midfielder who is nasty and hard-working.

We need more than one CM coming in given how weak the others alongside him are

I agree that we need someone with some creativity and nous. Do rate Hector in there though

I notice the new Spurs manager is still plagiarising my surname on his kit. I knew I should have tried to make a trademark of it years ago when I found out there was a ship, a cafe in Hornchurch and (a colleague told me) a Chinese lager all named NES
Oh well, another chance to be a millionaire let slip

Isn’t it interesting that Ogie hasn’t been able to get a game under previous regimes yet he looks very comfortable and assured again today.

This - and as I posted earlier, a fine long throw.

Even if we are sharing it with Spurs, we can say we've got one trophy in the cabinet already this season.

Good 2nd half. Very impressed by Ogie and lets hope the goal will help Ruel to reach his potential.

Excellent goal for us, side looks promising but clearly still needs a quality striker to score the goals.

As a supporter of both teams (I know - get over it) I have to say the O's were more impressive today. There are a couple of reasons for this, one is that they are further ahead in their preparation and also that this is probably close to the team which will start the season, whereas Spurs only had two or three players that will start their first match. I thought the O's played pretty well, and i feel very positive about this coming campaign.

Show what being patient with development and the benefit of a loan spell can bring about.

In other words, last season he was played out of position on the left wing, something noted by many on this forum at the time it was happening !

I don't understand your point? I can't think of anyone who didnt think he was playing out wide.
