Re: Omar Beckles
He did not want to drop into L2 but with KJ in charge and returning to where he grew up it was a no brainier

Presumably that means he knows the area.RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 15, 2021 1:25 am The fact that he's from Leytonstone might work in our favour .
So not sure how you reach that conclusion?

Re: Omar Beckles
Believe he has signed, unfortunately. Would rather have had the compensation. Maybe we’ll be playing three at the back?

Re: Omar Beckles
He was their 12th best players last season. Slightly better pass success percentage than Dan Happe.

Re: Omar Beckles
Absolutely, sounds like we're building a team of physical, no-nonsense players with the mentality of "win, whatever it takes". I like what I'm seeing so far, can't wait for our first match winning professional foulApple Wumble wrote: ↑Tue Jun 15, 2021 1:50 pm Decent signing on paper.
Language used from Kenny for both signings points towards us not having particularly pretty football to look forward to next year, but a bit of realism from the manager as to what it takes to get out of the division.
Gshaw will be pleased!

Re: Omar Beckles
We might need a bigger than usual squad then as cover for the inevitable suspensions.
Personally I don’t mind if we are a bit more physical than we have been in the past. I think back to that last game of the season at Salford when a number of our players played as though they didn’t care. Ok some realistically knew it was gonna be their last game in an Orient shirt, but Salford won far too easily for me.

Re: Omar Beckles
While I’ll be sorry to see Dan Happe leave – I am assuming he will – just the same as I am sorry to see the others go who were offered contracts, there is also a part of me thinking Happe or Beckles, hmmmm, based on what I’ve read about our new signing, have to say he looks like an improvement – keep it up KJ!

Re: Omar Beckles
We have been pushed around and almost bullied in the past. Hope the moniker of "soft southerners" will not apply to us in the future. Omar must have been swung by the recent gentrification of E10/E11....

Watched the highlights of all Grenada’s games, and there was some shocking defending!
