I don't know anything about Tisdale either so have just googled him.
He's got his own website. Wikipedia lists his famous friends and family. The google images that pop up are a joke.
I'm calling it now, he'll be an unmitigated disaster.

Since 1961 only 5 succesful seasons in 60 years .
61-62 RU 69-70 C 88-89 P.O 2006 3rd 18-19 C .
In 60 years that is 5 succesful seasons .
Less tan 10 % of seasons have been successful.
We 9wed Jobi a chance !

We've just appointed someone with over 700 games as manager, experience at being promoted from this league multiple times, and someone who is clearly well thought of in the game (and not Ling's mate), and all you spout is yet more negativity.
Get behind the manager and give him a chance. Could it go tits up? Absolutely, but success is never guaranteed, especially at this level.
I swear some of you actively take joy from wanting us to be bad.
We will be in league 1 within 2 years, mark my words.

Realistically, I don't see how a club of our size could do much better. 3 promotions, several play off place finishes, has a good reputation in the lower leagues. After all the whining about our previous two managers not being experienced enough, it'd be odd to the extreme to complain about appointing Tisdale.
