Dave Challinor if Hartlepool do not get promoted. Should have got him when he left Fylde.
Don’t think he has had any success in L1 or L2

Martin Ling.
Why not.
He signs the players.
We will see how good he is at motivating them.

Mark Cooper. Based on nothing more than him having done okay at League One and Two level and being out of work after leaving FGR recently. He also played with Ling for a season here in 1997-1998.

Got lucky at Swindon.
Took Oldham down and couldn’t hack it at the wealthiest club in L2.
His points average at Swindon was 1,46 per game.
No thanks.

Martin Ling.
Read the club statement again . League 1 and 2 level experience required .
So you believe everything the club says? Your be telling me that Ling doesn’t run the club next. But yes you are right about the statement

Mark Cooper.
He would be a decent shout.
Vastly experienced with a win rate of nearly 40%.
753 games as a manager.
Wouldn’t take a lot of notice of his bust up with the ball boy.

We might not take much notice but Martin Ling could . Nah, I don't think it will be Cooper somehow.

Surprised by the need to have L1/L2 experience. This years promoted managers have all NEVER managed at league 1 level. All three are young (U45?) and have played athletic positive football. A solid style old school manager is definitely not the way.
