comments from Portsmouth board not encouaging
"You've got to feel sorry for the Orient supporters - as if they haven't suffered enough over the last decade the poor buggers really don't know what's coming down the tracks. Insipid, tedious, boring hoofball and a waxwork effigy on the sidelines, hands in pockets displaying all the passion of a dead haddock.
They deserve so much better."
is one of the more negative
Apparently he was on 7k a week at Pompey.
Blimey, what are we paying him?
Why don’t you have a guess I’m sure it will be wrong

This is a top appointment, make no mistake.

What would people make of previous Os managers if they read this forum

He worked under Graham Taylor.
I expect him to play 4 2 4 with two out an out wingers with a big man upfront.
If he does that we will go up.

Mat Porter said on the Orient Hour last night that he will talking to the current backroom training staff early next week.He Will then discuss the options with Ling as to whether he will bring in his own staff. Apparently Senda played in the Millwall team under Jackett.

Matt Porter also said Kenny already knows what players he wants to bring in . I hope we're able to sign his first choice targets.

This appointment has made me smile. The uncomfortable male model type photos of him around the ground are priceless!
Can't wait for the fixtures now.

Still can’t quite believe we have got this bloke.
His record is superb and I would imagine he is the top paid manager in the division by a mile.
I expect there to be some quality signings coming in.
Reading what Graham Taylor said about him.
He said people misjudge him and say he lacks passion but they are wrong.
If the board back him fully I can see promotion next season.

I don’t think he will hang around if he doesn’t have full control.
It wouldn’t surprise me if Ling left though.

Judging by Ling’s face during the interview yesterday, I think you may be correct!

Looked like a man who knows his empire is crumbling away from under him. I reckon a job title change and duties with the academy & women's team awaits.

Ling said he's had to do more then he should since JE passed. This clearly highlights RE and jobi weren't up to the job. Ling will get back to doing just the role he did when we had a manager that knew what they were doing. He isn't going anywhere
