Has anyone ever asked Clay what he does on a football pitch? I'd love to know the answer. In what way does he impact the game? You're not a tackler, you're never in position to stop a counter, you're not a provider, you don't make penetrating runs, you don't score goals... what do you do exactly?

In his defence, looks like he’s being played out of position as a holding CM tonight alongside Cisse.
