I hadn't really thought about us having appointed a black manager, more focussed on what he can bring to the job. He has been part of our Orient lives for a while now, that's good enough for me. He does have a good profile which won't do us any harm and I suppose, in the current climate, him being black adds to that profile. I am proud that I have never heard racist stuff at Orient (although there was possibly antisemitism around Scott Kashket's departure under previous owners)

Blacks Lives Matter doesn’t mean all other lives don’t matter. It’s just a semantics game that racists play to justify their bigotry.

Got to laugh at those who get triggered by anyone who speaks up about race issues by trying to discredit them with terms like “virtue signalling” whilst simultaneously trying to convince everyone that they are perfectly tolerant people.

Also on Tuesday (when Clay went off) we had a black captain and also a black goalkeeper. I'd be surprised if that's ever happened before in British football, and if that's the case then it really has been a long time in coming.
