Change UK will i suspect end up folding in on itself as they've been rejected by the public. I can't see the original parties taking them back so I guess any moves would be begging ones towards the lib dems.
Those Conservative leave constituency's will love turning LibDem without a say.

I suspect Change UK were well outside their comfort zone on this one. The Brexit Party and Lib Dems had a clear message on Brexit. The public perceive Change UK as a reaction to the problems in Labour and the Conservatives and of little relevance to the 'Brexit' debate.

European Elections and especially this one are of little relevance to a UK General Election. Change UK will need to be judged on the next General Election and will rely on Corbyn and the next Conservative Leader putting their foot it in.

Agreed - Were never going to get an MEP and I heard that there was a consensus that a vote for the LibDems was more productive.

Change UK European Election results: Where did it all go wrong?
"They made a series of mistakes with branding. And everything Change UK got wrong with branding, the Brexit Party got right: a very clear message and a good logo.
Change UK MPs could be questioning the directions of their careers today, an expert warned after the group failed to make a mark in the European elections. That’s the view of leading politics professor Tim Bale, after Change UK – formed earlier this year by disgruntled Labour and Conservative MPs – suffered at the polls after failing to garner enough support. With 371 of 373 counts complete this morning, Change UK had no MEPs, with a vote share of 3.4 per cent and 571,716 votes, second last in the running order ahead of UKIP.
Prof Bale, who works at Queen Mary, University of London, said the party is now facing a grim future just three months after forming: “They would be lucky to be picked up by the Lib Dems [in a coalition].”

Transfer rumours: about half the Tigger MPs, including Chuka and Allen, about to fold into the LibDems - now the latter have a sniff of a decent vote share again. Soubry and Gormless Gapes said to be holding out for independent oblivion.

Anna Soubry elected as new leader of Change UK !!
The way that Party is going, Soubry may soon become a one woman party all on her own, she will like that, she can talk to herself all day long !!
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-48515505

Change UK has lost six of its 11 MPs following a disappointing performance in last month's EU elections, when it failed to get a single MEP elected.
The party announced that a new party leader, Anna Soubry, had been elected.
She said she was "deeply disappointed" that Heidi Allen, Chuka Umunna, Sarah Wollaston, Angela Smith, Luciana Berger and Gavin Shuker had left.
The departing MPs said they would be "returning to supporting each other as an independent grouping of MPs".

As ye sow, so ye will reap
Finished as a party after just 4½ months
When the first 8 Left Labour, the right wing press were waxing lyrical, thinking this would be the end of the Labour party, as more would follow and it would split, ........but no more Labour mps left, because they knew obscurity was staring them in the face.
So good riddance to you all, especially Angela Smith & Joan Ryan, two particularly nasty bits of work

One wonders how many changes of parties these MPS can make and still not feel in any way that it would be honourable to seek re-election - and them being so in favour of a second vote on other things too!

Anna Soubry is very good at expressing the views of nobody other than herself. If she had a shred of decency about her she would seek an election to give the voters the chance to decide whether she is the person they want to represent them in Parliament.

Soubry, like many other politicians, never use the words ''In my opinion'' she really thinks she speaks for the whole Nation and that HER opinion is the only one that counts. Yes of course Soubry and all the other ''Runners '' who deserted their original Parties should do the honourable thing and stand again in by-elections to see if the voters in their constituences have CHANGED their minds as to who they wish to represent them as their MP !! So will they do that.......dont hold your breath !!

Perhaps the same route for her now as other ''wannabees'' who like to keep in the public attention..........Talk shows, ''Celebrity Get me out of the Jungle'' etc !!

None of us do things that are not in our interests, and thats the obvious reason why the Change uk lot didnt call for bye elections in their constituencies.
They all knew they would have lost, and that would cost them a lot of money.
The ones that left yesterday, will no doubt join the Lib-Dems, and the others will remain mp's until the next election, whereafter they will disappear from public life.
Anna Soubry is well over 60 & will 'retire'. No doubt she has many investments, that will keep her in the way shes used to, and probably the same applies to the other 4 who have stayed in the party.
People on here target Soubry, but she is by no means the 'worst' of the bunch. Umuna is a real slime ball IMO, as is Gapes. They also IMO, should be getting much more flak than Soubry

Sitting MP's can be replaced without resigning. Under the Recall Petition Act if at least 10% of their constituents sign the petition a by-election is triggered. Hence tomorrows Peterborough election. So one wonders if her local Tory party dislike her enough to organise a petition'
