OK, which particular bit of EU regulation then? It's not a hard question.
All of them. We do not need any of their regulations, we had most anyhow like workers rights , minimum wages, health and safety, equal opportunities , gay rights, same sex marriages and so on. We are better than the EU put together. Have some faith and pride in your Country like the French and the Germans have.
We have vaccinated more here than Europe. Our vaccine which was developed without EU interference.
Most of those things were changed into law
because we were in the EEC .

I cannot be sure but I seem to recall having heard this utter bollox in almost all of your posts to date.
If you love this country so much go and shag a Union Jack flag.

Most are being retained which is good. Look at what Poland and Hungary are proposing regarding gay issues these days.

So what you are saying is countries within the EU
Can in fact actually create there own laws , as you've just
Said with regard to Hungary & Poland .
So why did we leave again ?

A few posts on and again my point has been confirmed: Don't argue with Morons.

We left because 17.4 million people voted to leave . Despite the likes of Scottish Nationalists,Labour, Lib Dem’s, Major, Blair, Hestletine, Grieve, Soubry, Lord Adonis and the rest of the Undemocratic lot trying to frustrate and overturn a Democratic vote, The current PM ‘got Brexit done’ after a Landslide election Victory with an 80 seat Majority. Democracy prevailed. Anyone who does not like us being out of the EU, should enter politics and campaign, like Farage did for years to get us out, to get us back in.
The whinging , sour grape rhetoric, nonsense is getting the Remoaners nowhere. We have left, been out a year, few weeks after transition, we have not fallen off a cliff, crashed out and left with a deal. Any teething problems like customs in the EU confiscating ham sandwiches from Lorry Driver’s packed lunches, will be resolved for the benefit of the UK and the EU.
As for Hungary and Poland, they are having a right wing surge and it is likely that one of these or another will leave. The pressures on the EU are going to be huge financially, like our own. Who knows, not our problem now.

GOOD LUCK GETTING RID OF 16.2 MILLIION PEOPLE from
ALL POLITICAL PARTIES
Just because you cant deal with there Moaning
What a PECULIAR Chap you are

Give it time , we have been out a few weeks since transition. That film is just saying there has been a few hitches. Go to the average supermarket and see how much fish they throw out daily.

All those EU regulations are still UK laws, and will remain so until the UK government decides one day to pass a law to change them.
So I say again, it's not a particular regulation that you're glad to be free of, because you're not free of them - they're in UK law. What you're glad of is that it's now the UK's sole choice to change them (in other words, as I said earlier, sovereignty). Which is a valid argument, so no need to deny it!

You have never been allowed to take certain foodstuffs, plants etc in or out of countries. I think a blind eye may have been turned before, but now the Dutch in this instance are merely applying the law as it was intended.
Not really much of a story.
I don't think we will see the full effect of Brexit for a while and lockdown is certainly buying the govt time to at least attempt to improve the woefully inadequate preparations that were in place.
Time will tell if we are left with egg on our faces over this, but we are where we are and we all have a duty to try and make this work, however much some are against it.

Some Brits do not like fish. Too many scary bones and do not like the eyes.
I was in Skeekeys once in Covent Garden when lady next to me ordered Whitebait , filleted without the heads.

You went to J Sheekey ?
Damn i bet that was Awkward for you
Was a regular there, dined whenever I went to the ENO next door which was at leat every six weeks as had access to decent seats. Then the restaurant lost its sparkle a bit, cut corners, so use Rules now when I’m up there which of course is not occurring now due to lockdown.

My old Boss used to eat in Sheekey twice a week untill
Maybe 2009/10 . He said he stopped eating there as it was
getting a bit of the wrong sort of clientele ,
He was a Food Snob so i understand what that meant .
Started eating far more at the Wolesley & more classy establishments,
And was probably one of the best connected diners in London
His wife didnt cook & they liked a bottle or 5 of wine .

Could get a table anywhere pretty much
Yes I know what he meant. There was a time when you had value for money, these days , there is this very unwelcoming announcement in many restaurants declaring when you have to leave before you have even ordered! They try to squeeze more people in.
It is for this reason that I tend not to even bother these days unless I’m up West End for theatre or concert etc.
Some of the best places I have found in recent years are restaurants attached to decent hotels. Always welcoming are these, especially afternoon tea before an early performance. The facilities are far superior also.

Yes I know what you mean. I like going to Smiths in Wapping. Fish Restaurant if you have never been. Same in there. It makes dining out a very unpleasant experience. Thing is , some Barrow-boys are more polite and sincere than some toffe nosed Hooray Henrys

Agree, never forget your roots! That’s why I smile at my Leyton and Leytonstone school mates who ‘support’ teams like Man Utd, Liverpool etc.
