Is driving silly little cars round in circles for hours on end really a sport.
Even darts is more of a sport than that.

They're only called that because they are designed to carry skis and rugby gear and the like to enable travel to a proper sport venue.Dohnut wrote: ↑Mon Oct 26, 2020 5:06 pmI’ve never owned a sports car or even a Sports Utility Vehicle.Max B Gold wrote: ↑Mon Oct 26, 2020 4:47 pm Is driving silly little cars round in circles for hours on end really a sport.

He left Monaco because the tax rates were too high? Rashford uses some of his time and money to spread a little goodness. Hamilton, as soon as he had an inkling he was on to a successful F1 career, said, "Right, I am out of here, to Switzerland, where I can pay a lot less tax and keep more of my loadsa money all to myself ". Frankly there is no comparison really, is there?
Is the reason Hamilton moved to Switzerland really just to save tax, or are there some work related reasons for doing so?

Increasing tax just means rich people find ways not to pay it.Ronnie Hotdogs wrote: ↑Mon Oct 26, 2020 5:53 pmHe left Monaco because the tax rates were too high? So are you saying don't increase taxes or increase taxes? Or some sort of middle way solution?Dohnut wrote: ↑Mon Oct 26, 2020 6:06 pmIncreasing tax just means rich people find ways not to pay it.Ronnie Hotdogs wrote: ↑Mon Oct 26, 2020 5:53 pmHe left Monaco because the tax rates were too high? Seems to work in NorwayThor wrote: ↑Mon Oct 26, 2020 8:14 pm Max you full well know that if you increase the tax too much you will get tax flight. Look at the 50p rate labour introduced people evaded it as it was considered too high, the tories reduced it, got slaughtered for it yet the tax take went up as people felt it was a little fairer than before.
I personally was in agreement of the higher rate of tax by the way.
Not making any suggestions about the rate, just the way it is. There will always be rich people who want to keep their money and have the means to do so. Not all rich people of course.Max B Gold wrote: ↑Mon Oct 26, 2020 7:05 pmSo are you saying don't increase taxes or increase taxes? So if increasing taxes means that the rich actually pay less tax, you'd think they'd be all for it.Dohnut wrote: ↑Mon Oct 26, 2020 6:06 pmIncreasing tax just means rich people find ways not to pay it.Ronnie Hotdogs wrote: ↑Mon Oct 26, 2020 5:53 pmHe left Monaco because the tax rates were too high?
