Not a great half, two cloggers.

Thought we started well and had a couple of good chances but as the half went on Oldham got better. They are playing like the away team and throwing long balls over the top to catch us on the break. Probably good scouting on Happe and Coulson who aren't the fastest. Angol and Wilko seeing a lot of the ball but not doing much with it and we've just reverted to shots from 25 yards. Midfield needs to improve, would like Jobi on after 55 if things dont change. Not a lot of creativity in there.

They should have had a pen as well.

Half time ratings.

Viggy - 5
Brophy - 5
Coulson - 6
Happe - 6
Ling - 5
Clay - 6.5
Cisse - 6
Dayton - 5
Angol - 7
Wilko - 6.5
Johnson -5

Didn’t see it that way, he got the ball.

This game is crying out for JMD, going to take a spark of individuallity to break through. Maybe Widdowson at left back and push Brophey forward. Just a little bit more positivity in the final third and it's there for the taking.

Don’t be silly. We want our wide attackers playing in midfield and full back.

Yeah I wouldn't be against it. Brohpy's struggled to do anything in their half and has been caught out a couple of times defensively.

I don't really understand him playing in that position. If we are pushing him high then play Wright who aint got a bad shot on him.

Coulson got away with one there. He’s looked poor on the ball and very slow off it.

Teams a bit of a surprise. Assume Jobi just being managed but no Thomas or Judd even on the bench. Coulson keeps his place.

Come on your Os.
Ling in the team at right back and Turley on the bench as cover for right back and centre half positions.
For those who expected Thomas to go straight into the right back slot........well as if, the chances of that happening at this early stage of the season were remote at the best ! Ling is firmly cemented into that position and unless he gets injured, will most likely remain there for at least a while yet.

Happe off injured which is a worry.

Sounds like wilko came off and chucked up everywhere.

I feel a bit sick watching this too :D

Or could be that he's played the grand sum of two professional games in his life and was knackered after his debut and needs managing. Or Martin Ling grrrrrr.

Thomas was never in contention for today. Not ready yet. Ling is having an OK game to be fair. Maybe responding to having competition but more effort for sure.

Important clearance from Ling there. Good awareness. Better cross and we would be losing though. Brophy lost the ball and jogged back

That's the problem with making Brophy run 40-50 yards from LB each time in order to pose an attacking threat. Even he must get heavy legs eventually.

Proper little poacher. Just seems to be able to get a goal when we really need it. Barely touched it

Well that's the most effective reverse Jonah I've ever posted (see prediction thread 😂😂😂). Nice one Danny the man of the moment, long may it continue.
