Some good comments so far, we really dont look like getting in behind them no creativity. Definately should have has a penalty though.

Angol has done well (superb free kick) so far but apart from that very little to get excited about, Widdowson has struggled.

Angol looks good.....very quick feet, and tricky, but a bit lightweight and big centre backs rough him up easily.
We should have had a stonewall pen.
Our passing isnt great....give possession away a bit to easily

Stonewall penalty. Cisse was about to shoot from five yards out, why would he go down like that?

Did the commentators say Jobi was injured? Watching with family convinced they heard them say it but I wasn't listening closely at start of the half.

I think they were talking about match fitness - hoping to keep a number on for 90min.

On Jobi he said they are managing his fitness too - probably a good job given the physicality of this one.

Not sure our shape gets the best out of the players.

It absolutely doesn't but sadly with Embleton in charge it won't change. Not even trying something different just same thing over and over again hoping for different results.

Created a lot more with Brophy LW, his pace adds a lot at this stage of a game.

Hope he isn't just seen as a left back this season

Funny seeing on Twitter after the over-reaction to the Spurs U23 win that friendlies are now all about fitness after today's performance

Good save Vigoroux there. Him and Cissé look decent at least.

Wilkinson keeps giving fouls away in stupid areas

Cobblers were much the better side. We have nothing up front.

One of his problems IMO. Could be a key player for us, but needs to do better.

We are just really blah. Probably won’t go down. Definitely won’t go up. Just a very very average bunch of lower division players.

A bit disappointing.

They looked a much better side, or at least better prepared. We lacked creativity.

Thought Angol looked ok out of the forwards, the rest were out of sorts.

It was a proper workout though, no holding back from anyone.

I still think we are couple of players short , i reckon we will struggle with our current squad , its pretty mediocre 🤔

I honestly thought I heard Ross say on a video interview that we came back early so we are the fittest team around. Seems that was Bullshit then.

However, I do know that at this stage players are working there way to full fitness, so I'm not judging them in any way shape or form.

I'm just calling out the narrative.

Interesting that Cobblers looked a lot more organised than us despite it only being their first game and some players joined them yesterday.

I thought we looked dire.

Happe is our one really class player. Hasn't quite got Baudrys dribbling skills or leadership but better in the air and less prone to the complete f ups especially as he has got older. Could probably play for a smaller team in the championship.

Vigouroux has got a few errors in him too hasn't he.

Sloppy touch and loose control in the two games so far this season. Definitely gonna get caught out at some point.

They were better organised, Curle knows what he's doing and gets people doing thier job.

We were a bit dissapointing overall but it will certainly get some milage into their legs, We should tap Curles knowledge a bit on centre halves he seems to be able to recruit some good ones .
