Islands in the stream
That is what we are
No one in between
How can we be wrong
Sail away with me
To another world

Not quite how I expected the thread to go but to clear it up...

Going forward I'd like to see fans offered the choice to either attend the ground in person or watch via stream permanently.

I don't get the argument about the Prem football, if 4000 odd Orient ST holders renew each year why would they suddenly decide to watch Spurs or Arsenal instead?

Those who like the matchday experience would go for the social / day trip thing but simultaneously those who support Orient but are limited by geography or mobility don't have to miss out.

I remember someone talking about stewarding / staffing costs vs. food & drink income, think the viewpoint was it largely balances itself out?

The broadcast restriction feels like something from the past holding back the future. Especially in light of what's going on now and implications for this coming season and possibly beyond.

Clubs could also offer streaming 'season tickets' for home or home and away and it means they get another few hundred thousand up front money over the summer to help finance things when there's no crowds/help with budgeting for the squad.

That's another point, I'd happily watch away games on a stream but hate traveling so again another income stream for the away clubs

It all makes perfect sense Bernard.

A very good idea, I would definitely consider this if there was a shown saving against a match by match basis.

However on that note I'd be keen for one off matches, on application to the FA or whoever once sold out, to be made available for streaming. Now THAT makes sense. Or if away sections got sold out or stuff like that.

So that's most Premiership match on live then.

Liverpool v Man City in warmth & comfort with a beer in hand or dragging yourself out to go to Orient v Carlisle in freezing rain....

Back to the same issues.
not really if you have the right software etc you can watch any premier league game on a sat right now. Plenty of people have it but still go to watch a live game.
