Incredibly difficult to track down but I'm slowly getting there.
Crack open a beer and enjoy Sunday and Wednesday knowing full well we get through and even better, a few weeks later we win promotion....perfect!

That was a superb game of football to re-live.
Very good camera work too - particularly given the era.
With many thanks to the Scarborough Cameraman Jim Goodman - who found these tapes in his loft; and forwarded them for our enjoyment.
I trust that our Club has sent Jim a bottle of something as a thank you?

I don't want to spoil it for you - so you'll have to watch it and find out:
Just to add that the pace during that game (for Division 4) was pretty immense throughout 90 minutes. Worryingly, I think our current squad would struggle against either team.
Weird to see an advertising board again for the Phoenix Apollo in Stratford. That place brings back some memories!

No worries there....I paid him for the work and transferred him some money for a couple of pints, not that he in anyway suggested it was an inconvenience for him. Seems like a lovely genuine bloke who was happy to help.

That basic, old school, Orient chant (the one to Here We Go) that we are singing at the start of this video as our team run out is still our best chant ever.

I joined the Scarborough forum a few years back and was tipped off that Jim Goodman was the cameraman the night of the 2nd leg game. I was sidetracked and didn't try to track him down but a couple of weeks ago I found someone with the same name on Facebook in the Yorkshire area, pinged him a message and within 2 minutes he had responded and said both games were on SVHS tapes in his loft and he would record them for me.
What a legend.
The away game is epic.....enjoy.

Media manager has promised me a pint!
But seriously, I was 15 when these games were played and never went to the away game. I have been desperate to view the footage and I am delighted to have found it and I can share with others who are fans of retro Orient footage as well.

When the club are selecting the handful of superfans allowed into a locked down stadium next season, I hope you’re on the list.

Im really looking forward to seeing the 2nd leg
The brave souls who travelled up were just semi spread behind the goal
A major lack of cigarettes for many ( but not me , i brought an extra pack)
As the game got tenser in the 2nd half nearly all of us were packed behind the space of
The goal as if we were a wall behind our heroic 10 & The superb Heald that night.
Even Stroppa the Sperm Whale was there !

I gave up smoking in 2003 but was seriously tempted to nip out and buy a pack of ciggies....and that was after 3 mins!
Hopefully those that were in attendance will be able to enjoy it this time around!

Think I might take it up ahead of the 2nd leg, for that authentic feel. Will watch it from my patio steps whilst my kids throw things at me.
