Yep, I agree with Middlesbrough. Went there three times with Arsenal, once doing that terrifying walk to and from the station. Another time I drove and the locals were knocking on the car window checking you out. Luckily I was able to effect a half decent north of England accent with an Irish twang! Another car wasn’t so lucky. Forgot to add them to my hated clubs.
In total contrast, Newcastle and Sunderland were probably the most friendly away trips.
