Dislike:

West Ham - not just for an element of their fans who are completely deluded but also their owners who have basically f*cked it up big time but likely to get away with it by selling it on sometime soon.

Colchester - To me an image of everything that's wrong with today's game. Nowt to do with their fans who are probably as downtrodden and miserable as we are but it's that awful soulless middle of nowhere shithole they play in. Layer Road was a run down khazi but at least it had some soul was relatively central and felt like a proper old ground. Like Northampton's Sixfields, Scunny's Glanford Park and many others, the move to the future really shat on the fans. Anyone who thought us moving to Harlow was a good idea need only visit Colchester once to see what it wouldve been like.

Spurs - Big club me arse. Almost 60 years since they won the league. Fans with a sense of entitlement who need to wake up to the fact it'll probably be 60 more years till they win it again.

Like:

Barnet: Downtrodden, not very good but I know a few of their fans who are decent fellas who maintain a sense of humour despite perennial failure. If I wasn't an Orient fan, Barnet would probably suit me nicely.

Southend: Yes, I know there's meant to be hatred here but quite honestly, I love a day out to Roots Hall. Proper away end where you can make some noise and I can't ever recall a boring game there. And they're mainly sh*t as well which appeals to me.

Arsenal: Loved Wenger's prime years between 97 - 07. Played proper football that was really good to watch. Shame they're mediocre these days but I'd honestly cheer them to another title just to piss off any spurs fans i know.

Likes: Spurs first club i started supporting two names that always stick with me Greaves and Jennings.
FC Torrevieja lived in Spain and they were my local team they play preferente level football, which is our non league and also made third division (Valencian region).
Was a member of the "Torrey Army" supporters club.
Bishops Stortford or Harlow Town, lived near both and enjoy non league football.
Dislikes:
Arsenal because of my Spurs link. Would really love to see them relegated, wont hold my breath.
Southend probably because thier our main rivals...dont really hate them but chuckle when they struggle.
Scotland, i know there not a club but there always so desperate to see us lose against anyone. Although i admire a lot of thier sportsman and take pride that they are part of the UK.

Dislike:
Man Utd - Really annoys me when I see them at service stations and they have southern accents. Should support their local team, just a bunch of glory hunters.
West Ham - Beaten up at Kings Cross by the ICF in the eighties. Wasn't even at football, just got caught up as a bystander. Think I would hate them anyway.
Spurs - If you like Arsenal, you hate spurs

Like:
Arsenal - Was a fan as a teenager, till I saw the light and switched to Orient.
Dagenham and Redbridge - Used to watch Walthamstow Avenue a lot as my second team so continued to watch them reincarnated as Dagenham.
Cambridge City - Lived in Cambridge for a year, so they were my team.

Celtient wrote: Fri Jun 26, 2020 12:17 pm The Rangers International Football Club obviously, as they surely have the most obnoxious fans on Earth. Can't say I really hate any other club. On my trips to E10, I generally have a chat in the pub at some point with some away fans, and generally find them to be a nice enough bunch. The only exception were Southampton fans when they were in League 1 who were pretty unlikable.

In the olden days of the 70's I used to like just about every English First Division side. Compared to the Scottish game it all seemed quite glamorous, with unique stadiums, some great strips, big crowds and of course virtually all players were British and I knew who they were and where they came from. Nowadays I have absolutely no interest in the Premier League. All stadiums look pretty much the same, horrendous kit and massive squads of foreign players who cost billions and who I know nothing and care nothing about. Having said that, the Scouse accent is so awful that I don't like Liverpool winning anything if it means that I have to hear it more than normal
Don't forget one of Celtic's greatest player played for and managed Liverpool and the clubs share the same theme song.

Man Utd - Had a season ticket there for 25 ish years. New age coked-up gimps and those who don't understand football made me hate going. The cup final against Chelsea a couple of years ago was the final straw for the dickheadery. Nowhere better than a United away end and a last minute winner.
Bayern Munich - Always had a soft spot form them (their fans look after the Munich memorial over there and their museum has a section dedicated to the Busby Babes) and their players (especially Thomas Müller). Been over to Germany to watch them over the years, been a couple of times this season (pre-lockdown).
Hertha Berlin - Been to see them a few times too. I love Berlin.
Fiorentina and Parma because of the 90s.
St Pauli for their political leanings
Porto, beautiful city and a great and historic team.

Dislike
Liverpool - Delusional fannies. Heysel.
Leeds - Fans are fannies. I remember a couple of Huddersefield fans wearing Galatasaray shirts when Orient played them about 10 years ago give or take. Made me chuckle.
City - Absolute divs who found money.

Arsenal - More so than Os until last couple of seasons, no real conflict of interest as they rarely play each other.
Ajax - From my time in Amsterdam in early 1990s
Chelsea - First team I supported because of 1970 final, but too far to go to from Dalston/Clapton, hence my support for Arsenal and Orient which were a short bus ride or a walk over the marshes respectively .

I also have a soft spot for Wolves and Manchester United as my uncles supported them.

Have grown a heavy dislike for Bournemouth since they cheated a win at BR
a few years back plus getting Cuthbert unfairly sent off in the same match,
Hard to believe that Cootes the ref that night is now plying his trade in the
Premier League..
I look forward to them falling down the footballing pyramid in the near future..

Like:

National League, league 2 and league 1 clubs.
Borussia Dortmund - what an atmosphere
Willem II - My dutch team. Welcoming fans and very different football
KVC Westerlo - Friday night football, beer and the Belgian playing style is fairly aggressive (more like basketball) and fun to watch. They are also like a belgium version of the O's!

Dislike:

All premier league teams. As I get older I seem to like the top level football and more particularly what it stands for less and less.

Interesting that there's a lot of love for Spanish teams. Real Mallorca, Villarreal, Malaga, Athletic Club and Real Oviedo mentioned so far.

I've visited the Asturias region of Spain twice and seriously considered a permanent move there, so I'm interested in the whole region as well as Oviedo.
It's a beautiful area in northern Spain and so different from the Spain most people see. Mountains, lots of rain, and unspoilt beaches. Unfortunately Easyjet stopped flying there a couple of years back.

Yep, felt similar about the Villarreal/Burriana/Castellon de la Plana area from being there. Proper Spain but still close enough to quality beaches.

Indeed I did, back in 2007/08. An ex moved out there to teach at the British School of Villarreal for a year while we were together and I went out there for a weekend or two every month. They did the double over champions Barça that year I recall and finished second.

West Ham - Great-grandfather worked for Thames Ironworks, had five of the family at the 1923 Cup Final, so following them came with my Mother's milk.
Dagenham & R - Home town team
Hartlepool - They usually needed to be re-elected to Division 4 back in the day.
Dislikes
Everton - Fans started the era of hooliganism, smashed up Green Street in '63, Goodison ground had horse-shoe shaped walls behind the goals to protect goalkeepers getting pelted,or worse, by home "fans".
Leeds - All round arrogance.
Any side that has Neil Warnock involved - It's all about me.

LIKE:
Spurs - I was born at the gates of Highbury but prefer Spurs (black sheep of the family) - still have scarf, rosette and programme from 1967 FA Cup Final.
King's Lynn (Town) FC - Moved to King's Lynn from North London aged 10. The club folded in 2009. Re-formed in 2010 as King's Lynn Town FC and have just had back-to-back promotions which now sees them in the National League - promoted on points-per-game basis. I never imagined that one day I would see the Os vs The Linnets in the same league - now a real possibility.
Glasgow Rangers - loved it when Gazza played for them.

DISLIKE:
Leeds - saw most home games in 1975/1976 when I was at Leeds University. In my opinion the most arrogant fans out there. It will hurt when they get promoted this season.
Celtic - I like Rangers so have to dislike Celtic
Man Utd - what is there to like - divine right to win everything and having fanbase anywhere but Manchester.

Like:
Cardiff - some good times with the 1927 club as a young man
UD Lanzarote - Regular holiday destination
Concord Rangers- Ambitious but sensible local club, my back up when it looked like Os were going bust.

Hate is a strong word but dislike:
West Ham - Deluded and overtly racist fan base. The Tevez incident where they cheated to maintain PL survival and got away with it.
Man Utd. - Far too many ‘fans’ that live in the south, have never been to a game and believe football was created in 1992
Whoever the glory hunters are following this season (see above).
