Holding statement that they will do something after Tuesdays meeting.
The wording did make me laugh...
Supporters can rest assured that Leyton Orient staff have been working hard behind the scenes regarding the next stage, and we will have a variety of options available for you to help support your club.

That's because on Tuesday the FL season for leagues 1 and 2 will formally be cancelled. At that point there's a conclusion and so they will be able to move on. Part of that will be the season ticket options.

I meant the insinuation of all of the options being helping ‘your club’ rather than ‘my kids’

Point well made.

Simple thing would be for the fans to write off the season ticket. It is hardly a a fortune so is it worth worrying about. It may just save a few staff from leaving or help finance the salaries of some new players.

What a stupid post. How do you know what the financial situations are for others?

Simple for you, simple for me, but not so simple for everyone. Most importantly its not simple for the club as its probably illegal or at the very least challengable.

All personal circumstance and choice I'm sure if people could afford it they would write off whatever is left of the season ticket as they know it'll help the club.
But they'll be those who may need the cash and no judgement should be made on those who ask for a refund.

This is the correct position.

Speaking personally, I'm happy to be spared the last few dead rubbers of witless Embletonian football, and have already saved hundreds in transport and ale expenses. So the Club can keep the £40 or so that my refund would be.

Perhaps if or when refunds are offered, there could be an option of giving the refund to JE3.
Justin brought much pleasure to so many of us fans.

If the fans got their money back they are free to make the decision on whether to donate.
If they donate the charity can reclaim the tax under the Gift Aid provisions. The charity cannot claim tax back from company Gift Aid donations. HTH.

Good point, it is hardly a fortune. Especially to a group of multi millionaires.
Looking forward to seeing how they reimburse us.

Constant digs at multimillionaires who are investing multimillion suns to keep out club alive whilst those with less dosh it is being suggested forgo much less.
I’m happy to give up the sums paid already for games not taking place whilst the owners continue to finance the survival of our football club

But perhaps it will save other jobs at LOFC. I am sure you are aware that thousands have lost their jobs in other businesses. Thousands more probably will in the aftermath of this.
As suggested perhaps the refund can be donated to JE3. How much would a refund be anyway?

It is no more of a dig than the post I was responding to, saying the sum is hardly a fortune.
You can return your refund to Nigel or Kent if you do wish, that’s fine. Others may desperately need that refund in the current climate

Sorry you can't distinguish between a comment and a dig.
I guess a lot of people who want a refund spend £30 or more in the bar before the game so in fact they are quidsi in (FYI this is a dig)

Had the games happened the money would have been spent, probably more besides. By not getting a refund people have not lost money but games.
Ticket prices were discounted on the basis of a whole season, we didn’t get a whole season so no discount should be applied. When working out a refund perhaps those who want one should calculate the cost on the day prices for the games seen. That would reduce the refund sum. Then deduct money saved on bar and travel. My guess, many are better off anyway.
It’s not about getting money back for those that need it. The cash was spent a year ago and Spent on things like staff wages. Maybe staff should give their money back to finance Your refund. No. The money didn’t go in the owners pockets.
The money has been spent helping the club survive. I don’t want a refund and the club in my opinion is welcome to keep the few hundred thousand they would need to find to refund ST holders.
