Bad News folks.

The Gold Disco Club is no more.

It was torched last night, presumably by the landlord, in the Paisley Way.

I presume there will be a full forensic investigation. So many plastic wigs and nylon garments will have gone up in smoke/melted.

Paddy and Womble.

Yes they were great, fantastic magnificent tunes. We all loved them.

Start a ska or Indie thread dont diss Disco.

Don't want to be picky, but this was 1975 i think.

Indeed, Disco Stomp was released in 1975.
In 1979 Bohannon released The Groove Machine.

Not sure what your point is. It could still be played at a Disco held in 1979

1979 was the year of ‘The Devil Went Down to Georgia’ from the Charlie Daniels Band – before he played for the O’s presumably! ‘The Logical Song’, ‘Heart of Glass’, Pink Floyd nailed the Xmas Number One – what a year!

Most of my school year could vote and elected Maggie – I wasn’t yet 18 and couldn’t vote and most definitely wouldn’t have voted for Maggie!
