Please correct me if I've got this wrong.

If we're going to beat this thing we have to close every shop that isn't ESSENTIAL, because at the end of the day people can't be trusted to stay away from each other and not touch stuff.
You can buy food online, so are you saying we should shut down supermarkets?
No, you are choosing to deliberately miss the point.

Mike Ashley cliams sports direct is an Essential service .

The bloke needs LOCKING UP.
No, no you can't. If he's not around he won't be able to pursue his vendetta through the Courts against Sevco.
Surely there are more deserving people suing Sevco ?

Money from rangers to ashley feels like "Old Nick" passing money over to the fella known as Satan.
Toughen up Tufty you're getting soft.

In this instance an enemy of my enemy is temporarily my friend. When the enemy of the 1st Inst is defeated we turn the guns on the temporary friend. Have you never played the hugely popular board game Campaign?

MOT stations will remain open as will garages as they are deemed essential. Not all will do so as it depends on the number of mechanics and space in which to work verses official guidelines.

If your car runs out of tax and you can't mot it or retax it, you must get your car off the road as the dvla have formed today you will still be breaking the law and it will be enforced. Please be careful.

Just heard Halfrauds is open also.Should be able to keep my seven bikes working over this crisis. Not that I'd use Halfrauds anyway.
Seven bikes? What you got??
Three fixies (two other charge plug and a no-logo cheap bike bought from ebay)...changed the weels and a few other components.Got the cheap flimsy crap off)...Three Dawes Audaxes and a Brompton.Got a bit over run,but you know what it's like.Don't want to get rid.Spent many happy times together and at one time when I was a neighbour to a looney I used one as a barricade for my front door. One Dawes Audax bought in 2006 after a crash into three pedestrians in Walthamstow wrote my aliminium Cannondale off (Evans found a fracture in the frame but whether it was caused by the collision cannot be confirmed).Luckily the pedestrians were ok (didn't hit them direct on just a glancing hit as I swerved) and I fell off.Almost managed to avoid them when they run from the other side of the road till they stopped right in front of me.The other is a Charge Plug Grinder I bought off of ebay last year and collected from Barkingside.

Oh plus the Charge Plug fixie which I crashed into the small bit of pavement dividing the cycle lane with the road at Bow Road tube station on 31/12/2019 and is unsafe but ok as a spare for the turbo trainer bike with which the bottom bracket may go at any time and I doubt whether I can fix as it's been on there for over two years and done many miles.
And I thought I was mad with 4!

Got a Carrera mountain bike from Halfords as a plaything to go out with my boy - and he rides it more than me now; A Trek Madone 3.5 that got me back into road cycling; a Venge Works with Di2 gears that I picked up second hand (for the price of a second hand car!) that is a real piece of kit. Have loaded it with Garmin Vector V3 power pedals - and I'd hate to really stack this bike! Finally I bought a Canondale Synapse to put on my Tacx Neo turbo - but I've not ridden it yet as last year was a bad one for cycling. Kept the Madone on the turbo.

I suppose I have 5 bikes - kinda. Can't ride it on the road but I got a Wattbike too. Good for drills, as I'm now back in trim and looking to time trial after the virus has passed.

Sports Direct lurches from one bad PR move to another

They've upped the price of their home gym equipment by more than 50% in some cases.

Fantastic 48 hours for them

Including baseball bats, apparently. Now not many folk have a living room big enough for a baseball diamond - maybe they're anticipating a uptick in demand for other reasons....

The house next door to me is called hilltop. I have to be a good climber, relative to my ability. Some of Kents best known cycling hills are all less than 40 minutes away. A mixed blessing!

I Haven't got a real lightweight bike...more of a bike which is built to withstand potholes down Canning Town High Street and hitting pavements in Bow.A high geared fixe. Can't beat the lycra brigade because it isn't the equivalent of using a BMW on my commute.More link a range rover. It has heavy puncture resistant tyres, also. The Audaxes are geared.
