Huxley makes a good point though, I've sat there at times this season and thought "yup, fair enough they're a good side and deserve the win... played some nice stuff" rather than "oh yet another bunch of thugs getting away with assault". NL really is a tinpot league, so glad we're out of it.

The dullest football we played all season was under Fletcher.

First half v Carlisle was the best football we've played at home this season. Shame the players are so unfit they couldn't keep it up for more than 45 minutes

End of season games happening in late Feb as only one team goes down and our mission (line ups ) seems to have been to simply not get relegated. Cant go up, cant go down for a long while now, Even if Alabi had scored that would have been something. Has anything remotely exciting happened this season that really stands out as i'm struggling to find one. Possibly the opening of the burger stand for me but that's about it....

Dont forget the 80s with the.conscutive thrashings at home by the likes of Newport
& bristol rovers ( i think it was) 0-5.& 1-6
As for 2014/15 & 15/16 only HATE of Beelzebub kept us interested.

14/15 and 15/16 were far from dull.

There's a difference between bad and dull.

Dull is related to mediocrity, lack of important games and lots of unexciting games.

It's not just the results. Let's face it we've been relegated plenty of times before. It's been the lack of anything to enjoy or cheer about. The number of home games when we haven't even had a shot on goal, must have been at an all time high. There's been nothing to get excited about. The way things are now, I can't even think "oh it will be better next season".

I think that the high we all felt least season what made it seem worse.

As for going next season, of course we'll all go. It's what Saturday afternoons are all about.

The hammering at Fulham was hugely entertaining - George Best was pulling the strings .... hardly dull ( tragic for us ? well, yes)
Come to think of it :

Laurie Cunningham was in the side until he was sold - 35+ Apps - hugely entertaining
Chiedozie's debut when he took an ageing Tony Hazell
Seeing that Forest side with Woodcock Robertson O Neill et al
The run to the ASC final and playing Scots sides.
The Darlo 2nd replay
The games against Chelsea
The Wolves game at home
The fightback against Bolton
Southampton with Ball, Osgood and Channon in the side
The last gasp survival game home to Hull
The League Cup ties against Millwall ( scary beyond hell)

It was epic !
