The court hasn't worked its way through the 14 charges from 10 accusers.

This Salmond defence sounds very fishy.

I'm genuinely frightened for the guy irrespective of his crime
Frightened for him? Why the hell would you be frightened for a slimeball like him? Save your concern for those who deserve it. He's scum.
I would even be frightened for someone like you, whether you deserve it or not
I wouldn't worry about him too much. I wouldn't be surprised if he is released early on compassionately grounds due to "health problems" Looked like he was laying the groundwork for this with his zimmer frame and dishevelled look at the trial

Yeah know what you mean, definitely not a picture of health, real or other wise, He wouldn't survive much time behind bars

I do feel that his ill health, Zimmer frame etc. were done for the cameras and sympathy. Like Ivan Drago once said "if he dies, he dies"

Reminds me of the scene in the Sopranos when all the old Dons were in court together - zimmers, oxygen masks, nurses by their sides. Surprised if any court these days took any of this charade seriously. I guess the sentence bears that out.

Not really as it is reported as the #metoo trial in New York by News Agencies & not The L.A Trial for rape he was found guilty of. The question mark clearly shows #me too is no longer a successful trial & a new trial will take place

Much of what Weinstein did would have been commonplace in Hollywood between the 20s & 70s, but now, quite rightly, it isn't.
Marilyn Monroe said on many occasions she slept with powerful men, in Hollywood, to ensure she got roles in films.
Weinstein was a preditor, and finally got caught out.
If there's a retrial, he will most likely be found guilty, and continue in jail until he dies.
