The Q wasnt asked , but we can assume that as was already stated ,
Had the kid been fit he would be on loan in league 1 not league 2.
His injury put paid to that & as Ross has known the kid for a few years
Its a no risk loan , when he is fit we get him .
Seems to be a 1/3 of wages for us getting a kid on loan as was discussed with the
Dean Smith question.
Not sure I believe that considering he had a couple of unsuccessful loan spells at league one clubs already.
Harsh on Sterling that, considering his loan with Doncaster was cut short back in September because of the injury he's currently recovering from.
I don’t know all the details but also heard he couldn’t stay in Sunderland’s team.
An article posted on here from a spurs fan suggested that league two was a level he had to drop down to because he wasn’t a success in league one.

Listened to it all back. Very open as always.
My concerns are around:
- Talking up the sale of Happe instead of playing it down (just as Porter was doing the other day). It's as if we want to flog him off for a few quid.
- Touched on strengthening pretty much every position - centre half, full backs, DCM (hopefully Cisse), strikers and wingers. The only ones he didn't mention were Goalkeeper, understandably, and attacking CMs. Clay and Wright have jobs for life. Bonkers. Proper LOL'd at the bloke there who said Wright reminded him of Ray Wilkins.
- Said won't play 4-4-2 because Wright and Clay there leaves us exposed. (Yet doesn't want to strengthen there, would rather just change formation to accomodate them).
- Massively hyped up Ling and the negotiating he's doing (despite the fact that we've got so many players who still haven't been able to finalise negotiations with).
- Blaming the fans for making the players edgy when trying to play the ball out from the back. Blaming the pitch for not being good enough to play the ball out from the back. (No mention of our inadequate CMs hiding as the reason we can't play the ball out from the back).
Like Bonne and Koroma last summer, we're going to have to accept that Happe is almost certain to go this summer to a bigger club.
Probably our best player this season IMO and only 21 and will get better. Not many 6'5 left footed centre halfs who can play out from the back knocking around.
Sure. And if it happens, he’ll deserve the chance and I hope he makes a success of it.
But the way the management and directors are talking about it, it’s as if they want it to happen, to save the Investors a few quid.
That question wasn't asked, sadly. But I agree, we can't be. That would be ridiculous.

Unsuccesfull ?
8 appearances at sunderland 1 goal 3 at donne rovers 0 goals .
Are you expecting Maradonna , a 16 year old wayne rooney ?
Didn’t know about the donny injury but from what I’ve read the only reason he only had 8 apps is because he wasnt deemed good enough to get in the Sunderland team.
Kid might be fantastic, but I’d still rather have a fit CM instead.

It’s nothing about hate. It’s about fact.

8 appearances in the Sunderland team from End January to the finish of the season.
You claim he is not good enough

Regardless. I’m really glad we have a player that MIGHT play 5 games at the end of the season which is over, taking time away from our own promising youngster. Seems exciting.
Had you bothered to listen to the whole bloody event you would have heard why ross might think it would be important .
As you couldnt be *rsed to please dont chat sh*t to those who listened to the full podcast & heard what was being said .

I don’t think it was one or the other. With Marsh and Cisse already on loan, there’s no way we were going to bring in another CM, as much as I agree we need one.

The supporters club held an Evening with Ross Embleton tonight (Weds 19/2) and we’ve got the whole Q&A available for everyone to listen to.
Topics discussed and questions asked include out of contract players, formations, Sotoriou, Brophy, Turley, Coulson, managing, Justin and lots more.

Just because people disagree with you doesn't mean you have to be disrespectful towards them

Is it disrespectful to talk about a q&a that lasts an hour + then to talk about the last 10 minutes only
When part of that 10 miutes had been sort of discussed in the other parts of the q& a ?
I think you would be disresprected if somone described you , after knowing you a few days
But telling people what you were like , without knowing you you're whole life.

Taxio has a point. You get all medieval when someone has a different view to you.
My other concern was where he was caught joking about dancing on tables, singing songs about George Porter, but I don’t think that was supposed to be in there.
Thanks for condensing this 'interview' into the pile of cliches I knew it would be, but couldn't be bothered to listen to
Judging by some of these comments above, Embleford seems highly deluded - in terms of his tactical expertise, Ling, and the role played by our fans in encouraging the team.
Doesn't Embleford realise OR CREDIT the tremendous support from the fans attendance-wise at a time when whilst he is serving up the unmitigated negative tripe he calls football?? Clearly not

Simple answer - no.
The guy clearly fancies himself as some sort of mastermind.

Dross with the over exaggeration detailing again .
Nothing new there then.
