Vigouroux 7
Marsh 5
Ekpiteta 6
Happe 6 (Coulson 5)
Brophy 8 MotM
Cissé 5
Clay 6
Wright n/a
Sotiriou 5
Wilkinson 4 (Angol 4)
JMD 4 (Johnson 5)
Liked the new keeper. Centre backs defended well enough, but their distribution was atrocious. Wright was breathtakingly poor; he literally offers nothing in general play. Been a fan of Wilkinson this season, but he was dross today. Sotiriou had a tough outing. Would be perfectly happy to never see Angol in an Orient shirt again. Early days, but still unconvinced that Johnson will be of much use; chases back well enough, but doesn’t seem to have much to his game.

He’s the sort of nothing player Ling and Embleton seem to like.
Got it in one, they prefer a bland "neat and tidy" player to someone with a bit of guile and physical presence

Terrible game all round. But really frustrating to snatch a draw from the jaws of victory after it looked like we’d won it with our one bit of quality.
Nobody comes out with much credit but Brophy my MOTM with a great finish and generally decent game. Clay clearly not MOTM but at least put in a shift and a clever assist. Like the look of Big Vig. Not really tested but looked assured and good handling. Ruel had a good first half but faded. Mustn’t forget that he’s still a young lad who hasn’t played much football. Don’t want to burn him out.
Different starting lineup, formation and tactics for Tuesday night, please.

Two good crosses in 90+minutes of a home game against absolute poo poo where we had nearly all the ball says it all.
We are playing narrow without wingers, therefore it’s his job t get on and get balls in. Or at the very least show for the ball and try a forward pass once in a while.
Look what Brophy does from left back on the other side. The difference is like night and day,
On the left hand side, Brophy has a reasonable understanding and partnership with JMD which allows Brophy to get forward. Mustn't forget Brophy is also a winger.
Marsh on the other hand had absolutely no help down the right. Wilkinson offered him no outlet or target to hit and if a pass wasn't perfect he couldn't be arsed to break stride to go for it.
Ruel was ahead of Marsh most of the time, not Wilko.
Marsh is suppose to be a midfielder. He should be comfortable enough on the ball to try something going forwards instead of always turning back and passing the buck to Marv.
If we sign him next season, I’m gonna be fuming. He’s the sort of nothing player Ling and Embleton seem to like.
I can assure you in the 1st half Wilko was mostly wide right and was Marsh's main outlet. Granted Sotiriou appeared on the right now and again.

Only 2 players did well today, Brophy and Marsh.
Happe and Coulson did well also.
Other poor except Angol, who showed some nice touches and movement.

Marsh being played out of position does not help. Where is the right back we should have recruited in the window?

Same place as the left back

Judd now either 'injured' or dropped from the squad should be at right back.

What the f*** did Marsh do?
I’m a fan of Angol generally but didn’t happen for him today either.

Don't worry. Ross said Sam's back in training

I really don't see how Wright gets in the side, what does he bring to the team. I'd say likewise with Clay but he at least tries to get involved even if what he tries hardly comes off.
Spot on. I can see why the Bradford fans didn’t like him.

So only 2 players did well plus Happe and Coulson .....that's at least 4

No, he said that Sam will start proper training this Monday. But that he probably won’t be ready for Tuesday night.

Unless my maths is out of whack that’s at least 4 and a possible 5

Vigaroux - 6. Not much to do but done it well. Really good on the call, pinging some lovely balls out to Brophy. Just a shame our other full back hides.
Marsh - 4. Tried to compete I guess. But is even more negative than Ling. Whenever he gets the ball, which isn’t often cos he loves to hide, his first turn is backwards. 95% of his passes were back to Marvin. When he does get on, he can do it, just makes it even more infuriating.
Marvin - 6. Solid enough. Still having too much of the ball and having to play long balls because Clay and especially Wright hide.
Happe 6. Same as Marv but doesn’t have to be as much of a playmaker as him because Brophy doesn’t pass the buck all the time, like Marsh does on the other side.
Brophy - 8. Class performance today, best player in the pitch, great finish for the goal to top it off.
Cissé - 6. Worst performance he’s put in, still easily our best midfielder.
Clay - 5. Typical Clay. Lots of running about, plenty of giving the ball away. I lol’d at his MOTM award.
Wright - n/a.
Ruel - 6. A 7 for the first half but disappeared second. Was dead in his feet when Embleton subbed Wilkinson. Really exciting prospect, great to watch. He’s so obviously the real deal.
Wilkinson - 5. some great link up early on but wasn’t strong enough to trouble their two man mountains.
JMD - 5. Not in the game enough. He should be running games like that.
Angol/ the new bloke - 5. No better than what they replaced.
Agree with most of this.
Vigoroux - 6 Not really tested, distribution ok, shanked a few including his goal kick that led to the goal. Thought he could have done better with it as tried to save with his feet and the shot went under him.
Marsh - 5 worth more than a 4
Last 2 games have been against the worst 2 teams in the league, Stevenage should have been a massive confidence booster so was expecting better yesterday.
Roll on Tuesday....

Sorry. Don’t get Danny Johnson. What is he supposed to bring to the table? Brophy was the one bright spark in a dire game. Do not understand why he gets dropped on occasions. Really disappointed with Cissé. Thought he was commanding the first time I saw him. We need characters and leadership in the team. Somebody to take the game by the scruff of the neck. Sotiriou looks a prospect. What a very dull season it has been.
