1st half
Sarge 2
Marsh 2
Ekpiteta 2
Happe 2
Coulson 2
Brophy 2
Clay 1
Cisse 2.5
Harrold 2
Wilkinson 2
2nd half
Sarge 5
Marsh 6
Ekpiteta 5
Happe 6
Coulson 5
Brophy 5
Wright 4
Clay 4
Cisse 6
Harrold 5
Wilkinson 4
Jmd 6
Dayton 6
Sotiriou 5
JMD put 1 cross in that hurt them so doesnt warrant MOM award for me . Cisse looks to have the ability to do the tough job , break down opposition play.
We can then build on this.
Cisse gives us the opportunity to go back to 4-4-2, I hope. Just need someone strong alongside him. If Ross has the balls to drop Wright, that is.
Another midfielder or 2 in we can drop Wright & Clay .
Dont get me wrong if we had blinding pace up front im sure wright could find a forward pass , but as we dont
The Crab Pass becomes his go to

Sarge 5 - Made that cockup that nearly cost a goal
Marsh 8 - My man of the match, think he plays really at RB, also he put in a few decent crosses
Ekpiteta 5 - Got bullied by 19 at times
Happe 4 - Thought he was strangely off the pace
Coulson 6 - Thought he dealt with 19 well
Brophy 5 - Tried making things happen, does really good things followed by awful end product, also has no right foot what so ever
Wright 4 - Awful till the last 15 minutes when he started to get the ball, didn't impose himself at all first 60
Clay 4 - Couldn't tell if he was playing
Cisse 6 - Looked solid, monster in the air
Harrold 5 - Nothing really to feed off
Wilkinson 6 - Tried making things happen, causing problems
Jmd 6 - Should be first name on the team sheet, only player with any creativity and end product
Dayton 4 - Got sent off stupidly
Sotiriou 6 - Thought his pace and movement and pressing caused problems, defintley good to bring on after 60/70 against tired defences

How many goals have we scored in open play, in say, the last five games? Anyone please?

Harold had more to feed off than Angol has had. Harold also had the luxury of a partner alongside him.
The difference in quality between Angol and Harold couldn't be clearer.

So you didn't see the build up play to the goal? Very well worked and probably the only time we got behind their defence.

Marsh showing again how much he is developing as a player. Spurs will be very pleased.
And so will we. I said many time he’s a good player and will have a good career in the game, I’m pleased that he performed well once more last night by the sound of it. Long may that continue.
There was a chorus of voices on this forum mocking the Marsh loan to the Os, forever pointing out the fact that he was short. I was one of the few who said give him a chance and even posted with a list of great midfield players from the past who were short midfielders but hard as nails and great. Well, seems Marsh is getting better, good on the lad and supporters have to learn not to pre-judge the merit of players based purely on their height and build.

Really?
He was just as anonymous at right back as he is in the middle of the park.
No disrespect to the lad, he’ll have a career in the lower leagues, but doubt Spurs even bother to send anyone along to watch him.
There was a degree of sarcasm in my second point which appears to have passed you by.
Oops.
My non-sarcastic response is still valid, however.

There’s definitely signs that if he continues to progress as he has done, in time he could develop into a perfectly serviceable L2 defensive wing back. Well done the club.

Agree with the OP. Nothing much wrong with the players, but the way they are being coached and managed is causing them to gradually unlearn all the good stuff implanted in them by JE over the 18 months he was here. It's painful watching us lose all the momentum we built up from Dec 2017 to June 2019.

Excellent news. We just need to source another ten to play beside him.

Good point against a team currently going well in the division BUT we need to recognise that playing 20 minutes of “ s**t or bust” type football is not a tactic that is going to get us very far on a consistent basis.

Too soon at his age to say what his future football career holds in store. For just one example, when Zain Westbrooke came here on loan from Brentford, he was also panned by many of the Leyton Orient critics on this forum. Ok, a couple of years on, he is playing very well for 1st division Coventry and by all accounts, has higher league clubs running an eye over his progress. It is very difficult to predict how any players form will be season to season, especially young players.

Happe should have scored from the last corner of the game, and who would have cared if it care from a deadball situation. Don`t think it would have been a topic. I think three of our four goals at Grimsby came after deadball situations.

No, they don't count as double, but it can highlight a problem (one of many we have) a team has as far as tactics and formations go. I still do not know, by the way, how many goals. I imagine it to be two or three?
Instead of engaging in constructive debate, like pointing out pertinent problems the team has, you only seem 'obsessed' in just picking out arguments.

Harrold was called in late in the day to replace Angol after not starting for many weeks. He was the only realistic choice as a replacement. They are two very different type of players and have different qualities. The fact that you prefer Angol is fair
enough -trying to denigrate Harrold to support your case is not. The last time Harrold & Wilkinson started a game together was I believe the home game against Walsall. The partnership worked that day, yesterday it didn’t that’s the long and short of it.

According to Embleton's interview he was going to drop Angol anyway.

0 since October so I was told this morning in conversation.
As for the Westbrooke comparison, it's almost like getting an underdeveloped youth player in to do a senior pro's job isn't a great recipe for success in key positions.
Back when we got Westbrooke we needed a midfield enforcer, strong and experienced to compete against the NL thugs. Little surprise a slight, technical player was a poor fit and proved ineffective. Doesn't mean he didn't possess the talent to have a career in the game.
