They’ve gone from having the natural leader and motivator Justin Edinburgh to the bloke who was his assistant. Not only that but Ross has flip-flopped in his decision that he didn’t want to be a manager and has already proven with results as interim that he’s not really up to the job.

Add in the fact that he’s trying to inspire experienced professionals despite having zero playing credentials of his own (not saying that this is essential to be a good manager but it must help in giving you gravitas), and his overall demeanour is of a bloke well out of his depth.

I like Ross as a person, and I’m sure he’s a great coach, but I can’t see his tenure as manager ending successfully at all.

I also wonder what kind of appeal he has to sign players. Does he have any decent contacts? What does he offer a potential signing? If I were a player looking for a new club, what does the current set up at Leyton Orient offer me? I really can’t see it.

However lofc my club since 1962 have taken an enormous back step in culture if you think what they did or are doing is good behaviour

NB I am *not* saying that now is anything like as bad as it was under FB, but this all feels like an opportunity lost. But then again, maybe we should accept that a lot of the forward momentum was lost on June 8th, and we are going to have to start the forward push from scratch again.

Somebody - possibly you - said this a few days ago. That giving it to Ross, with no safety net, means if he doesn't make a success of it, he'll have to go. So would Lingy and Webby. Of course, if they make a success of it, they all stay and it's happy days all round.

I can understand that this was the only way to get us out of this limbo without the owners appearing heartless.

As stated numerous times, I’ve only ever had one account on this site (this one).

Happy for the mods to prove me wrong. They were able to detect you as another user from an old board (mondeoman) so surely it would be easy enough for them to out me as a multiple user on this board alone (I’m not).

You really are the lady who doth protest too much. You went off on one when the mods outed you as mondeoman and now you’re deflecting on this thread.
