We are not being fed info from the club.

We dont know who we’re looking to sign - the cmub dont reveal their targets (for the good reason someone said earlier).

Alabi leaving isn’t a surprise to anyone (or it shouldn’t be) but we believe he’s going to Eastleigh.
Don,t worry ,they make up stories that they cant prove !

A decent show to be fair and all contained in just over an hour, well done lads. Pleased that you’ve shown both sides of the manager argument and read out what people actually say as it’s only right and proper both sides are aired which brings a fair balance to proceedings. The other lot might learn something from you if they listen in.

Whilst you had Ross the boss in the other day, is there any chance you could get the head of the youth section in to give us a run down on what’s happening, good players coming through, people to look out for and what future development the youth section might be going through in future.

On sat we had Judd, Happe, Hector, Sargent, Ruel and Jananta all in the match day squad. That’s 6 players which is by any account pretty impressive. We’ve had a decent spell this past 5 years of good youth players with some now playing in the premier league. It would be great to hear what the youth section boss thinks, as it’s played and hopefully will continue to play a good part in our future growth as a team and club.

Thanks for your reply.

I can see alibi being a success elsewhere if they play to his strengths. He lacks ball control skills but he is strong, pacey, energetic, and can’t be faulted for effort. The only way to get the best out of him is to play balls into the space in front of him , allowing him to use his pace running onto the ball. Playing to his feet as we do is a complete waste of time.

I honestly don’t think Alabi is as strong as some people think he is.

Sure, he’d be able to bowl over an average bloke like a skittle but up against professional centre backs he isn’t a man mountain. I’ve seen him get rolled a few times during his erratic cameos in games.

I’d argue that Matt Harold is a bigger physical presence up front.

When we are finally rid of Alabi, we must then ask, how on earth did he ever come here.
His wages must have cost the club around £65,000 for the 18 months hes been here
Hes scored 3 or 4 goals?
Within half a dozen games, Justin had dropped him to the bench, because he knew he was pants......
So, i repeat, how on earth did he ever come here?

Communication from the club continues to be diabolical.
If you think the club are going to announce who our potential new signings are before they've signed for us you're in for a long wait . On this issue the club is 100% correct . Why tip off other clubs on who we want to sign . As for Alabi leaving , we all knew that was going to happen . For the record , I wish him good luck at Eastleigh . Whether he was good enough or not is another debate but he did always give his best .

I will answer you.

He was signed as the club saw something in him that they believed they could tap into. They were looking st his form previously at Chester and believed that they could extract that and possibly more from james. It didn't work out and he will end up in the pile deemed "speculative punt" .

It's just one of those signings that don't quite work out. To play to his strengths everything would have had to change and as Justin lead us to being league winners his style, formation and tactics proved over 46 games to be superior to anyone else.

That's the way football is sometimes, I wish James well if he leaves.

Don't forget that we paid an undisclosed fee for him on a two year deal.

We actually paid a fee for Alabi as well (Tranmere still have the cheque framed on their office wall!)

You're rewriting history.

He wasn't brought in as a punt. He came here to make a strike partnership with Macca.

Same with Gorman. He wasn't a specualtive punt. These two were our main (and only) signings in the summer of 18. F**k knows how Justin managed to win promotion on the back of that.

I'm going to answer this and I don't want anyone coming back and saying I am in any way incorrect with my analysis because that would be annoying.

We were promoted because the five at the back tactic made us very hard to score against and because we had two decent forwards who ran themselves into the ground most weeks.

Justin dropped him after 3 games, the red card was when he was on as sub.

He was a regular sub for the first half of the season but after Christmas to the end of the season he only played 3 times in the League, and that as substitute.

Just a bad error all around. If he doesn't go, he should be Boco'd and we recruit players like he isn't here, like we did before when others had to be sent to the Island.

It’s a shame for the boy that things haven’t worked out here for him but he just hasn’t shown anything that warrants him staying on. If , as has been indicated, a less sentimental tone is going to be adopted going forward and players and coaches are going to be judged more objectively than has been the case recently then Alabi is the Number 1 candidate to be moved on.

Just cos he's godawfully inept at football, doesn't make him a bad person.

I think someone needs to put a reassuring arm round Alabi's shoulder and say 'Give it up mate, you just aren't a footballer'

As per Eagy, he started the first 3 games before Justin realised we'd massively ballsed up and dropped.

Thankfully, Koroma turned into the star we all thought/hoped he was going to be.
