Defo need a. DMC as we invite too much pressure on our back four. All the fans see it why can’t lingleton see it?

We have.

Ross just chooses not to play 2 up top, because our midfielders are weak.
Let me rephrase that

2 out & out strikers who will score inside & outside of the box, 2 good feet & big enough to be a threat in the air
Both banging in 15 goals + a season .

That's the important bit for me

Even Bonne for me isn't an out & out forward.
Great finisher good little striker etc
But you play to His strength rather than playing to a team's strength.

Totally agree about the lightweight midfield.
So in your learned opinion Tiff, what is the next step to get us moving up the table?
I don't have a learned opinion.

I think we need Very Fit players to press

We need to out 2 of our midfielders
Clay needs to be upgraded upon.

And 1 of Wright brophs or jmd need to be replaced by a solid rough & tumble ball winner.
Upgraded Clay can run around pointing shouting & actually playing the game .

Any use of those 4 will see us sound until the end of the season.

After that
Big Clear out .

Build a squad of league 1 or championship cast offs or
Do what Brentford have done & bring in a half a squad full of players from Norway Sweden
etc.

All depends on where we finish this season doesn't it Des.

Still
Im looking forward to our 1 to watch for the future.

Rumour has it our 19 year old young uns GK is going to be a Worldie.
Talking to 1 of my mates who knows the family .

With a bit of luck well see a few more young uns develop to a similar
Level.

Sounds like we played well yesterday. I watched video of the penalty and it looked like it was going to go over the bar.

As soon as Harrold came on I noticed that JMD was moved into the middle, after getting in some great crosses out on the left, it then left only Brophy to cover 2 positions on the left side.

All very sound points, although as you admit, not from a ‘learned’ background. The problem is though Tiff, the club don’t seem to share your views or that of other fans. I fear that if we do get relegated, all of Justin’s good work would have been squandered by those who are supposed to be ‘learned’ and paid handsomely to be so.

Angol did his best up front alone, often surrounded by Grimsby defenders being kicked and pushed etc with Wilko around 25-30 yards away out on the wing.
Why ??!
Grimsby were there for the taking IMHO and looked one of the weakest teams we’ve played so far so why play just one up front.
We should be looking to get both Angol and Wilko on the ball as much as possible.
I've posted many times, I do not understand us playing just one up front especially at home. And yesterday we bring on Harrold presumably as an extra centre-forward and promptly banish Angol to the wing. I don't get this tactic.

Nobody does. Could be a good question to ask on the next Orient Hour if Gilso actually permits any non-OTF contributions.

JE Resigned all the players with the exception of young Sam's & as far as I'm aware
JE rated ling over Judd when both were fit last year so in all probability would have
done so when the time was right

Any work undone will be caused by JE's death

You can almost hear the question now from the Orient hour or podcast guys.

“So Ross we want to ask you about the shape employed when matt came on and lee went out to the left wing”. At this point Ross the boss rolls his eyes and looks upwards. “So moving on tells us all about those lovely new trainers your wearing today and the significance of the multi coloured laces”

Complete and utter defeatist cop-out nonsense.

Also, Joking about mental health and insinuating that someone has mental health issues is not only pretty poor taste, but given our DOF’s well publicised challenges, incredibly disrespectful of an increasingly big community problem.

It was a good question to ask on last Thursday's show too, but it wasn't aa Boyce was too busy blowing Embleton to ask it.

It's so blindingly obvious to me that because we've struggled all season to impose ourselves in the middle of the park, RE has been forced into sticking an an extra body in there for us to compete and to be fair we've looked better in there since he's done that but it reduces our attacking threat.

How we cry out for someone like Ebou Adams in this team is unreal, someone in that ilk would transform us. It's no wonder he's a mainstay of an FGR team that are flying.

2 shots on target, one being a penalty. I suppose that's more than we had in a few of the previous games. We are lucky that there are possibly/probably a couple of equally poor teams and management below us and blessed that only one team can go down.
