Goalkeeper is a certainty whether permanent or on loan. The George Marsh situation will be clarified one way or the other. If he goes then another CM will be a must. George Alexander in from Millwall on loan and James Alabi out to Boreham Wood until season end.

They wont do anything with conference level players Sid .

We need better players.

Not coaches trying to make silk purses out of pigs ears.
Much the same situation and much the same squad of players that were near to the bottom of the National League, then Justin was appointed as Manager and look what happened after !

Perhaps we will get double glazing in the transfer window.

The boreham wood centre forward is earning good reviews, goals scored, shot conversion and he's young, hopefully mr foster has had him watched.

That's pretty good but what's it got to do with us? ;)

Err I'd the scouting team think hes good enough sign him up. He is scoring lots of goals a commodity our forwards are struggling with. On top of that all his stats are good and he is young so if he trains o their is a potential trial return on investment as well.

It's time we looked for further hidden gems, like we got with Bonne for example.

If it costs money it's probably a no no. :((

Speculate to accumulate isn't that the saying? Peterborough have been doing it for years, for sure they dont all work out, but hopefully you have more punts go right than wrong.

On another note Brentford have two players being looked at right now by premier league clubs, 1 is valued at £30m and the other was I think £25m both will return massive R.O.I if they are sold.

Seems our method is plough it all into the youth setup and get a nice warm community feeling when they scoot off to a Championship side

Thor wrote: Thu Jan 02, 2020 7:46 am Elliott Osbourne at Stockport is earning really good reviews, midfielder decent amount of goals and assists and at 23 is a good age with plenty of sell on potential.

It's for others to scout and decide if hes what we need or require.
The lad has only ever played up North and Gannon will look to hold on to him if they get promoted. Has only 6 months left on his contract but can't see us paying a fee. Decent player mind.

Signed a 2 year deal at the beginning of the season so he's out. A short term deal for somebody as back up for Sergeant would be the obvious option

Kabongo Tshimanga - we couldn't afford him.

Yup Sid

JE won promotion & then dropped dead ( GRHS).

He would be clearing out players now if he was still here if they were performing this badly.

Dont think it would of been easy even for JE .
Remember his good start at Gillingham was followed by a poor run which led to
The sack. Teams can fall apart for any reason.

My point being that many players under-perform, then perk up when a better manager comes to the club, its called a new manager bounce !
Already happening at West Ham and Watford and also Arsenal played well yesterday under their new manager. I fell sure that with a decent new manager in charge, the Os players would perform better. Ross does not fit the bill, he has had three goes at doing the job now as a Interim Manager and not done the business, he also seems a bit weak in making some senior players into undropables ! If Ross continues in the job till end of the season, regardless of what new players may come in, on recent form alone, big chance of us being relegated. I think you know this, you seem to be a bright guy and perhaps like swimming against the tide of general opinion on here because you like winding people up !!

After his 1st stint this season & after a slightly dodgy start he turned things around nicely

Wasnt his record something like w5 d5 l6

It was only after dogs abuse from a certain section of orient Fandom he walked as he felt he wasnt doing his mate JE justice.

Fletcher then came in & ripped the squad apart with not good enoughs & your done here.
Takes time to rebuild confidence & belief & togetherness
with the players again

We have to just let stuff settle, get a couple of.decent midfielders & a gk & maybe a goal scorer in & we'll be flying.
Promise

*two strikers and a CB

We're well short of L2 quality striking options and don't have a decent pairing we can play week in, week out. Angol and Wilkinson don't work well together so even if the former stays I see those two competing for a starting spot rather than complementing each other.

Alabi out and bring in a mid-20's fit and strong target man. Doesn't need to be technically skillful just physically imposing and able to do the donkey work for others to feed off.
