Make of that what you will.
Well, it would explain the delay at any rate! I didn’t hear the discussion personally but I really can’t imagine why any professional football team would choose to take such an apparently indifferent attitude to who it’s Head Coach would be.

They are waiting for the man who has said he doesn't want the job to make up his mind about accepting it.

FFS!

I truly fear we are in a spiral which is gathering speed and is headed one way and that’s downwards.

I thought Ling was hard-line when it come to deadlines.

Unless it's one of his pals.

Dave said ling has once again said they are waiting on Ross to commit and that everyone behind the scenes wants him to take the job.

What a bizarre state of affairs. So we are waiting on a guy who is effectively the manager telling us whether he actually wants to be the manager despite the fact that he has already quit the role once. And why on earth does everybody behind the scenes want him to take the job in view of his appalling record and the dreadful football the team is playing? The only possible explanation in my book is that he is the very cheap option.

Dear Max, would like to add to your comment as below.

'They are waiting for the man who has said he doesn't want the job'.... and despite his best efforts, is just not up to doing it........''to make up his mind about accepting it.''

On the form of the last 12 games where we have accumulated 7 points it is indeed relegation form.

Not engaged with Orient today because Jan 1st has other sentimental meanings for me.

However, I will say what I’ve said since this saga began: a professional football club needs to hire a footbal manager.

This interim head coach nonsense is farcical and needs to end soon.

Ross is a nice bloke and I have no doubt that he’s a good coach but he isn’t a football manager. We lost Justin 6 months ago and to carry on with this pub league set up in Jan 2020 is ridiculous.

If this is the route the club goes down it will end in tears.

We are lucky that teams like Stevenage have remployed Westley. It shows you the mess they are in too.

Yes, it's a total shambles . I can't believe Nigel and Kent are happy about this so it's time for somebody to start making some very tough decisions .

I wouldn't want him at Orient but I certainly wouldn't bet against him and Stevenage to overtake us .

God forbid if that came true but it is possible.
