Seems hugely unlikeky. We haven’t even been looking and if and when we have a candidate they have to go to Boston for a holiday first , so don’t hold your breath . Instead of actively seeking like Grimsby did with holloway were sitting back hoping Ross will somehow become a proper manager or get lucky ! Was never going to happen when he’s never ever wanted to be a manager !
No use waiting for people to contact us we should know exactly who we want who fits the criteria and then go and get them . Only chancers will apply or in experienced or those who are poor
Agree 100%. The real issue Is that there is no apparent proactive attempt being made to attract a potential replacement. If the right man isn’t available then fair enough but we do at least need to be seen to be making an effort!
Do we know for sure that there is no proactive attempts to attract a potential replacement though? We have an interim head coach at the moment so I doubt we are not at least doing due diligence on possible candidates
As said in my post - “ no apparent proactive attempt”.

Time for a complete shake up. All this talk of not going down is nonsense, there is almost half the season to go and we are nowhere near safe.
Ling can go along with embleton and MCnuff and half the squad , sentiment doesn’t win games.

Tisdale is still out there. f*** this. L8ng has to go, Embleton too if it means a decent manager brings his own number two.
Absolutely 100%, no individuals are bigger than the club, sentiment can not override the obvious !

That's the brutal reality of life which our board are going to have to face up too.

Totally agree with all of this 100%

I hear that this year is consolidation . No it aint its capitulation, embarrassing and unfair on the fans

Im not buying into this well only one team go down and macclesfield will be deducted more points blah blah etc. If that is the vision of the management team its not acceptable and a disgrace. Fans have bought a SEASON ticket not a well we will right off this season ticket - the fans are not mugs

Time for Ross, Webb ( if hes still around ) Ling and mcanuff to do the decent thing and ship out

Also for some of the players its time to take a long hard look at themselves ,its all becoming to easy and comfortable

I wanted it to work and it's a ruthless game where one result can matter. If we'd won today or at Newport would we be calling for people's heads?

Time for the Orient Hour sycophants to change their tune too. Their compliance in a position of influence has helped to inoculate the club from valid criticism for too long.

We must appoint an experienced manager now. I'm sorry but Ross needs to go any new manager MUST be allowed to bring in his own team.

If the status quo prevails, as is likely, then it means any players brought in, will be Ling's choices, and I don't trust his judgement.
We really are in a dark place at present

The irony if it being JE would take the kind of decisive, pragmatic approach we're all crying out for. He'd back players to the hilt if they were performing but equally ruthless when changes needed to be made. What the club has been doing recently is the polar opposite of his approach, more in line with Davis if anything.

As for new players, remember Ling's words saying he aims to do business at the end of the transfer window. That's another 4 weeks of poor results before any change. Also remember his favourite line "we tried but couldn't get anyone who was an improvement on what we already have". We need reinforcements but not hoping for much.

I agree. I just hope that Edinburgh's style was not the exception with Davis and now being the rule.

Of Course nothing will happen tonight or even this month, unfortunately.
The problem is that our owners spend a lot of their time outside the UK with their business interests and so need someone at the ground or in Leyton overseeing the issues on the pitch etc, ie Ling
I don’t see them removing Ling anytime soon although I hope I’m wrong because we really do a shake up from top to bottom.
Grimsby have acted with Holloway coming in, but there’s no guarantee of results .
Personally I don’t mind RE staying as HC so long as we recruit well and strengthen the playing side and then re-structure in the Summer.

This is the same guy who made the call to bring Alabi back off the transfer list. Would you trust him with budget to identify a good player (as opposed to one who's a "nice guy" around the training ground)

That's our next concern . Will Ross and Ling know who to sign this month to strengthen us . If they get it wrong we're in trouble .
