Re: Tories to Lose Key Seats
Going by the exit polls I think you'll find it's actually the Labour Party who will lose key seats starting with Blyth . Falls to the Tories for the first time in history .

Re: Tories to Lose Key Seats
Is that correct? It doesn't matter now, but I thought that, legally and constitutionaly, he could remain as party leader. It would have been embarrassing of course.

He couldn't be PM if not in Parliament.Dunners wrote: ↑Fri Dec 13, 2019 6:48 amIs that correct? It doesn't matter now, but I thought that, legally and constitutionaly, he could remain as party leader. It would have been embarrassing of course.
Would need a temporary PM until a by election was held ( after MP resigns or is made a Lord!) And BJ would stand in that safe seat

Correction There is EVERYTHING sweet about the election and to celebrate I'll buy as many O'Nuts as I can carry tomorrow.Disoriented wrote: ↑Fri Dec 13, 2019 3:52 amThere is NOTHING sweet about this election result. It is totally disastrous.
At last the country can move on, Brexit will happen, and JC's disastrous term as Leader (Chairman) of the Labour party is over. Even I believe there needs to be both a strong and credible opposition that is not controlled by the unions.

Yes Boris was in all sorts of bother that night and could he manage to hold onto his Uxbridge seat on Election night ...........Max B Gold wrote: ↑Thu Dec 12, 2019 9:23 pm Boris in all sorts of bother in Uxbridge. Looking like he will go. Lib Dem vote has collapsed and gone over to Labour along with moderate Tories.
Looks like he will be out in the cold when the new parliament meets.
In actual event, he defied the clairvoyant predictions of Max, perhaps a new Crystal ball required ?

We need to buy time to stockpile some weaponry. This is going to get messy. Dear Max, perhaps better to stick to your own gut feelings than take notice of the views of so called news reporters like Laura Kuenssberg, I find her very annoying.Max B Gold wrote: ↑Tue Dec 17, 2019 8:40 pmI was only repeating what Kuenssberg said.Sid Bishop wrote: ↑Tue Dec 17, 2019 8:14 pmYes Boris was in all sorts of bother that night and could he manage to hold onto his Uxbridge seat on Election night ...........Max B Gold wrote: ↑Thu Dec 12, 2019 9:23 pm Boris in all sorts of bother in Uxbridge. She is certainly a remainer, she always seems to argue for that side of the debate.
