Tony Grealish, covered every blade of grass, in every game he played. He was a machine

Laurie, wasn't just a midfield player. He was a forward too. Brilliant to watch.

To add to the many names above, I will mention, Terry Brisley.

Dumb, you are absolutely right about peter Allen’s tackling. He would stretch forward with one leg and somehow hook the ball from the forward who was ahead of him . No sure with the change of rules that it wouldn’t be considered a tackle from behind today.

Cunningham was on his day unplayable. I liked Steve Parsons who would have gone on to great things but for his terrible injury, I also liked Barry Dyson (RIP) who was a great little midfield general.

We have been blessed with some great midfielders during my time supporting the O's.

Glenn Cockerill. Carried a sh*t side single handedly at times.

In respect to Parson who was quality and literally glided around the pitch like he was on air. Bill Songhurst said to me one day that after his leg break the limp he had was in his head, they had sent him to specialists and there was nothing to suggest he should be limping. Shame cos he would have gone on to play at a higher level.

Yes I was told the same Thor. I was at an Os reserve game after he came back from his injury and he asked to come off after half an hour and cried his eyes out in the tunnel. It was really distressing to see.
