Not really a fair comparison though is it.
Webb had senior pros who he couldn't select and brought in youngsters who he had worked with at youth level and still managed by and large to put out competitive sides. He also had the balls to go into the Italian and tell him what the club needs. Ross has done a great job for the club but football wise at least had a decent squad to choose from.

Re: First New Manager Rumour
It's pointless doing comparisons as our club was in disarray and it would not be a fair look as the conditions he worked under at that time must have been intolerable.

Exactly. Webb did a good job in impossible conditions and it's unfair to throw that record at him, he will I'm sure go on to be a very good manager.

Re: First New Manager Rumour
The malden and tiptree manager seems pretty good at his job as he has now got his team winning 21 successive games including beating a team 4 divisions above. He might bring along one or some of his 3 strikers who have scored over 60 goals between them this season, and looked a bloody sight livelier than ours.

Red card it's also about levels as well, who says he could cut the mustard or the players for that matter? They were let go for a reason, some may come good once more, but consistency is normally a big reason people have to drop down the levels.

Let’s steady the ship once more, get the players back in the comfort zone, enjoying training, enjoying playing and being at Leyton Orient and take the time to find the right person for our club.

Ross back in a job he don’t want, though with a safety net. If Webb don't feel he is ready, don’t push him into it. The right thing to do is bring is experience. Russ ticks lots of boxes. Give him this and next season and and extension possibility depending on results.

I would be really surprised if Ling would want RS back as a short term manager.dOh Nut wrote: ↑Fri Nov 15, 2019 5:49 amIt’s incredibly unfair to put people in roles they don’t want or are not ready for. Only those of whom have not got other jobs already , have less than a handful of previous clubs and are happy to work in the existing “ closed shop” arrangement.Story of O wrote: ↑Fri Nov 15, 2019 10:39 am Wonder is any of the other 39 applicants will be asked back?

Re: First New Manager Rumour
Would Judd be player manager? I probably don’t fit the ethos of the club but thanks for you support in my application.
Re: First New Manager Rumour
One of the things about Justin is , he came here on his own and was able to work with the staff that worked with Steve Davis.
