Wonder if Fletcher gets to give his side of the story or if he will be gagged like Moons was.
Considering we paid a fee for him and will have to pay him to end his deal pro rata he must be the most expensive manager we had, and that is something considering Bitchtits sacked someone every 6 weeks.
No need to gag him, nobody would listen.
Errm, yeah, been sacked, scratch, must improve, Errm, yeah.
If this is true, sorry to say it but Ling has to follow him.

That just about sums up his interviews, there surely can be no confidence in a manager who said um over 20 times every time he was interviewed. As has already been stated, the Morecombe interview was never posted on YouTube and the M and T interview was cut to 1 minute 29 seconds.

True or not, that this sort of stuff is doing the rounds after 5 games is shocking. Especially from normally tolerant Orient fans.

It's a massive failure for sure. I'd give him one more manager and he's definitely a goner if that's a bad appointment too.
We could have had Derek Adams up until a week ago too.

Pete O'Rourke
@SportsPeteO
Leyton Orient have sacked manager Carl Fletcher after less than a month in charge. #lofc #orient
I hope this is not a WUM, if it's true then thanks for the info.
Can't wait to see the selection process for the next applicants !
Are you off to celebrate pound-shop with your left hand
If it's true and I really hope it is.
The ones with the left hand are those that appointed Fletcher in the first place .
Just hope there is not the same selection criteria in place for the next set of applicants.

Its official then. Mr. Charisma is gone.
I have to say that given the briefness of the statement that the problems were far more significant than just fan reaction or one or two bad results. I'm guessing his performance behind the scenes have been as uninspiring as his performances on the touchline and in conversation with DD.
What an absolute mess the club have made of this.

Still think that the real issue is that our squad need to be broken up.

Ling should follow him out the door.
40 applicants, he recommends him as best of the bunch??
He has to be accountable for making our club look a total embarrassment.
Back to the Benshitti days.

Totally agree.
The next applicants cannot be given the same application criteria as before, we must have the best man for the job.

Definitely a big issue - far too complacent. The fact other promoted teams were good enough for League Two was a correlation, not causation when you had a squad like ours.
A just as big issue is new deals handed out to the likes of Coulson and Brill which will be albatrosses for the next 18 months. These are definitely on Ling too.

Another 3 week long process or will they get the begging bowl out and go back to the 40 applicants?

What is particularly baffling is how long this supposed scoping process was for the new appointment. In theory we'd been looking since pre-season, yet we arrived upon someone so obviously ill suited to the job that he's gone within a month. Club will need to go on a major pr offensive after this.
Guess they deserve some credit for being decisive and cutting their losses early.

Nah. As stated a hundred times before Ling wittles down the pile of applications to the top three based on the criteria laid out by messrs Travis and Teague. They were at liberty to peruse the other applications at any point. The final three candidates were all interviewed by T&T and they plumped for Fletcher. This can't be laid solely at Ling's door. They all have to take the blame.

Shame it did not happen a week ago; we may have still been in he FA Cup. A bizarre appointment. Give Danny the job - he has shown his loyalty and knows the club from the inside.

Hope Matt Porter enjoys his humble pie too after saying the days of us bringing in managers who have been sacked multiple times have gone.

It would be quite funny if his pay-off pushed him over the line and he did become a millionaire out of it.
I genuinely laughed out loud at that.

You could tell something was badly wrong after the Morecambe game, on Sunday the players didn't seem to give a sh*t - Which is something I never thought I'd see from this team, many of them worked so hard last season to win us the league.
We all knew this would be a gamble and its not paid off - At least our board have held their hands up and have accepted they made a mistake.
I like what Martin Ling has done so far since he came back, but he is now under some pressure to sort this out.

Ling has a history of poor choices. T&T put their trust in him for all footballing matters.
