Re: Farage: Shitebag
No surprise here that Farage has bottled it after his initial stupid gambit for a pact. Might hurt the Libs in the South challenging in Tory seats but will only split the brexit vote in Lab seats where Tories might challenge elsewhere so helping Labour more than hindering it.

Why should people who choose not to live in a country have say in deciding it's future?RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2019 2:20 pm" They've made their bed" . ? If the Scottish people want to leave the Union than good luck to them , they can go . Question though , why can't Scottish people in the rest of the UK vote on independence ? Although their Scottish they obviously don't count .

What about her husbands company receiving three and a half million euros from the EU. ?Stowaway wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2019 2:11 pm Farrago has been gambling on no deal for months. ThTs why he’s been setting himself up as a broker in the US for trade deals, because when we leave the EU he’s going to need a new job. Any deal with the EU will scupper his plans for his deals with the US. He’s nothing more than a chancer with his own interests at heart.

But Niggle says Boris's deal is not Brexit. Surely the next logical step is to stand against the Tories to explain that to the electorate. Instead they are in alliance with a party they don't agree with.
Niggle insists he is a man of principal but now he just looks like a spineless liar.
I'm just pointing out what a shitebag and a fraud Farage is.

The Brexiteers are now free to rejoin the Tory Party having served their purpose.

Re: Farage: Shitebag
Farage is clearly anti Labour as he started his election campaign in Bolsover where the sitting MP Dennis Skinner is a brexiter and they will be standing a candidate against him.

He can see that the crash out he most wanted is not going to happen so he going to do as much damage as he can to punish the parliamentarians who stopped it.

And he is keeping all their £100 paid for the opportunity to 'be considered to stand' just as he is keeping the £100 paid by all the applicants who did not get interviewed/ selected. If any of them are unhappy about how they were treated: "Tough!" because the outfit is a company by Farage for Farage.

Re: Farage: Shitebag
Their deals were not like remaining. May went to great lengths to find something that would keep NI in with GB. When a way forward was agreed she reneged on it under pressure from Reese-Mogg, Johnson, etc.
Johnson's position has always been about promoting the stance that would get him the top job! He doesn't care whether we leave or remain. His present calculation is that by "Leave … do or die in a ditch, etc. etc" he has the best chance to keep himself in NO.10. Make no mistake: that is the only thing that really matters to him and he is calculating that the Brexiters will get him there.
The recent thing before parliament was only about step 1 in the process of leaving the EU. Even if that somehow had got passed by parliament, it would only have been step one, followed by many years of negotiating all sorts of details. Being part of the EU, we had so many joint endeavours: research, science, global communication, international safety and security, mutual health care arrangements, opportunities to live, study and work in 27 other countries, etc. etc. All these agreements will have to be changed to reflect that the UK is no longer part of it. Even a thing like "will France still agree to police our border on their soil?"
I think many people don't realise just how many things that we take for granted in our everyday life are actually something that came about through being part of the EU.

Re: Farage: Shitebag
Ex Pats can vote in our Elections for up to 15 years after they've left the country . By your logic that should now be abolished . By the way, the last time I looked Scotland was still part of the UK so Scottish people living in other parts of the UK other than Scotland should be entitled to vote on Scottish independence. Why should your vote mean more than theirs. Scotland is their country too.Max B Gold wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2019 3:00 pmWhy should people who choose not to live in a country have say in deciding it's future?RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2019 2:20 pm" They've made their bed" . ?
