It will be toe curling. He will look away, blame everything apart from himself. I don't see much of a leader in him I'm afraid. His inspirational qualities match those of a rubber duck in a wet suit at present.

“It took a special goal to separate the two sides”. Not sure that’s what people want to hear when you’re playing a team that hasn’t won at home this season and are rock bottom of the division!

Re interview technique, if he can’t project himself to DD/the fans then, IMO, he has no chance of projecting himself to the players.
Presumably he came across well in the interviews but he sure ain’t showing any of that so far.
Most good managers are good at pr/interviews as getting their points across effectively and being able to communicate effectively is an essential part of the job.

He is certainly no JE in terms of personality but then again there will not be many that are. Guardiola doesnt really have a personality but can't dispute he is a good manager.

I have to turn off the interview after 3 mins. It's pretty bad to listen to.

Having listened to a couple of Carl’s, er, stirring debriefs so far, I am wondering just how he managed to overcome the obvious not-managed-much-or-for-ages handicap he must have had in the job interview process. His sparkling repartee, cliche-free mumblings, and positive body language when faced with the fearsome Dulcet Dave is a marvel to behold so far...
WTF was Ling thinking? Surely even the happy clappies have to follow what I have been trying to point out for three years.

Time for Kent to grow a pair - thanks Martin but time to move on.
