Leyton Orient is more than Justin Edinburgh and last season. If it’s all about structure and maintaining the status quo, why doesn’t Ling appoint himself as manager and leave the coaching to the coaching setup.
Correct.
Who has final say on signings?
If it’s Ling them make him manager.
Why would Ling be Manager when he is doing a perfectly.good job in the eyes of those who pay him
Namely Kent & Nigel as DoF .

How many coaches follow a manager around at lower league level?

Pretty sure it's much rarer than people are making it out to be.

No it’s not gernally they follow each around. In the levels below us the players tend to follow the manager in big numbers as well. Whilst it goes on at our level it’s a much smaller percentage than the semi pro game.

Who was the last Orient manager to bring an assistant in with him when they were appointed?

Shows how unambitious we have been.

Bigger names available are just people who have failed somewhere else. I'm happy we're prepared to give a younger manager a chance. There are loads of relatively unproven managers doing well in League 2, Dave Artell at Crewe, Matt Taylor at Exeter, Michael Duff at Cheltenham, Richie Wellens at Swindon, Michael Flynn at Newport... unambitious, or imaginative? Fletcher could be a really smart choice.

Exactly oooh!

Last night I was coaching in one of those elite academy's and I was talking to another of the coaches and he said that he is going to move a load of boys as the coach they have is old school, dated methods, smokes on the touchline during games.

The game is moving forwards fast, old coaches can't keep up, new methods, new beliefs, new ways of thinking and applying the theory to practice. On top of this they are receptive to the new science that is available and applying it as they've grown up with it whilst older people need to learn it rather than it be second nature.

Look at the special one, when he first broke through he was a revolutionary and now in my opinion he is past it, playing football that is dated, using methods which he has not updated nor moved forwards with.

Time waits for no one.

Wot Thor said. Young, personable and understands leadership (as opposed to 'boss'). The old style won't cut it any more.
