No-one. I would stick with RW

We've been falling since the play off final.Orientnil wrote: Mon Oct 26, 2026 6:29 am We have an experienced manager and a decent L1 squad. Things are not going well at the moment and we're all disappointed. A couple of wins and attitudes will change. All this anti management talk is akin to jumping off a cliff cos you're afraid you might fall.
Challinor would be excellent choice, but he left Stockport because he wants to manage in the Championship. He will be offered the Burnley job, possibly the Sheffield. Wed job.Mistadobalina wrote: Sun Oct 25, 2026 8:22 pm Challinor would be good appointment imo, but probably waiting for a bigger job than us. If we decide to ditch Wellens, the sooner the better, hiring someone for a relegation fight puts a lot of pressure on them.
Clueless enough on who theyd wantThe Big Shot wrote: Mon Oct 26, 2026 10:38 pm The fact that the majority of responses on this have been sarcastic, just show hows limited posters on this boards knowledge is on the lower leagues.
Either that or they haven’t got the bollocks to commit to a preferred option because they;re too afraid of being wrong which their egos won't let them do.
The only realistic coaches in our reach IMO are:
-Matt Bloomfield - I believe he worked with Scott Mitchell at Wycombe (But stand to be corrected), also the Wycombe team he built was 2nd in League One when he left them for Luton 2 years ago when he was given time to build them.
-Dean Brennan - Barnet Head coach who has been on the way up with them for the last 5 seasons, also did well at Wealdstone. Would cost compensation and be a big gamble, but he is a coach on the way up.
-Karl Robinson - Vastly experienced League One/Two manager now. Did well at Oxford & MK Dons at this level. Unlucky to be sacked at Salford IMO.
-Gary Rowett - Apparently prefers playing more senior players than developing younger players, might go against him for this job, but worth a punt IMO. Has had success at this level but not for a while.
-Ryan Mason - Young coach sacked by West Brom, would be a bit of a gamble IMO.
-Liam Manning - Did well at MK Dons and Oxford at this level and was OK at Huddersfield. He has off field personal issues though which I think means he is currently unavailable. I'd give him a go here.
-Darren Ferguson - Personally I'd only take him if we was in League Two.
Luke Williams, Henrik Pederson, Kevin Nolan, Ryan Lowe also avaliable but I don't think any of these would be considered.
The safe option and my pick would be Matt Bloomfield.

I think Bowyer would be a solid choice. He's been steady at Burton for sure with a limited budget, and on paper, would probably assume our squad is better.Top of the JES wrote: Mon Oct 26, 2026 11:23 am Gary Bowyer for me.
Done a good job at Burton on a smaller budget than ours and they play relatively good forward thinking football, doesn't make excuses for poor performances and a good communicator added to which he has some affinity to the club with his dad having played for us in the 70's, he admitted last week in his pre match press conference that he looks out for our results and thinks we are a solid well run club.

The Constant is Fans who know very very

Never lnown a set of fans
Like Orient Fans .
Just to say: with me it's the former. I know next to nothing about lower league football and even less about higher league football. However, I do have a strength in this area, which is that I'm often wrong about football. I'm quite proud of that, really. The Big Shot wrote: Mon Oct 26, 2026 10:38 pm The fact that the majority of responses on this have been sarcastic, just show hows limited posters on this boards knowledge is on the lower leagues.
