Is it only me who's disappointed with Hayden, I was expecting a similar impact to Gilbert, especially as he's been made captain?
QPR fans were saying he looked physically spent last year and he's not shown anything to suggest dropping down a level has made up for the loss of mobility. Less of an issue when we play deep like last week but when we're playing higher up the pitch, creates so much room for the other team to find space.

It's been a poor performance tbh. Midfield set up looks well off and our pressing has been dreadful, Blackpool playing out of situations that should be risky for them. We have two of the best wingers in the league and they haven't been getting the ball in dangerous areas.
Hayden legs just aren't there as well. Can't cover nearly enough ground defensively in a two man midfield and offers little in possession.
Gilbert and Forrester have been very good at least.
Nailed it, structure looks off.
We've been shipping goals trying to "press" recently

Makes the decision to make him captain a big mistake in retrospect.

Playing "wing backs" and two wide players in front of them does not work, it just leaves a lack of bodies and a hole in central midfield. Blackpool have put in two or three great crosses and we are surviving at the moment.

Hard act to follow but he’s no Dom Ballard.

He's a sniffer in the box but doesn't get enough chances to show his strengths, his hold up play is below average and he doesn't have enough pace to get away from defenders.

Great win. Didn't always look great, but defended well and ground it out.
Finding ways to win when you're not playing well is a good sign.

Think that cliché only applies when you have good games as well.
We defended well and saw the game out well, but wasn't a convincing performance imo. Needs to figure out how he wants to set the midfield up as it's a big issue.
Still, if suddenly do click, we've avoided the standard ropey start to the season and have a good foundation to build on.

Once we’ve got everyone 100% match fit, like Connolly, Scarlett, OON, Boniface, then we should be a level or two up from the current performances

He really was. Cracking save near the end.
