Wow.
So why do you reckon Richie has suddenly stopped giving interviews and clapping the fans post match?
Maybe he has a cold.
Out of interest, do you think it’s not a bit mental that a professional football manager can go into hiding because he read a few mean comments on Facebook?

Richie wasn’t in the gallery today, or at least I didn’t see him in there at all.
I heard that he was watching from up on the directors gantry, above the gallery, as he did a number of times last season.

I’m not sure if anyone else witnessed this, but at the Wycombe game some bloke in the West stand went right down to the front and was going absolutely ballistic at Wellens, calling him every name under the sun and ranting like a lunatic. Wellens must have seen him because the guy then turned back again and said “It’s your f*king team!” Which at the time I thought was way over top and completely unnecessary. The bloke is trying to do his job and some idiot is going mental at him from like 15 feet away. Also interesting that the stewards did absolutely nothing!
So with that, on top of all the social media posts after the match and everywhere else, plus the stuff said about his son, maybe it’s got too much.

I hope Richie accepts it's only a tiny minority of idiots . All clubs have a minority of these types of supporters . I would say the vast majority of supporters is still behind him .

Shane not to hear from him today. He’s usually worth listening to (the DV ones anyway) vs a lot of managers who keep it bland and vague. Hope he does an interview next week during the break looking ahead to the next stage of the season.

Equating a bloke hurling verbal abuse at him from a few feet away with criticism on social media (some of which may have been mean comments about his underperforming son) is absurd.

I must admit I feel disappointed we didn't hear from Richie today . Richie always tells you what he thinks straight from the heart and so I missed him today .

Richie still has credit in the bank, in my book. And - unlike several O's managers before him - he's worked out how to beat flaming Stevenage and that's twice on the trot now, so my estimation of him continues on an upwards trajectory.
As RedDwarf says there is a vocal minority at Orient (and in most walks of life) who are overtly loud in their barracking and pigeon-holing of things they know little about. When it gets too personal, I hope Richie is able to deal with the idiots and know that the vast majority of O's fans want him to continue to bring us success.
None of us have managed League One football teams under pressure, Richie is doing so with a talented squad and has got us looking like we can do well when we fully click. After last season, I do feel that this year will be one that Richie needs to get a tune from the squad and I fully believe that Connolly, Kabia, Akhamrich and Scarlett can be a front four that terrifies opposition defences.
League One is so tight again this year, if O's can catch fire then we can be in with a tilt of promotion this time again.

The idea that as a human Richie wouldn't be affected by insults and abuse whether in person or via social abuse is ridiculous. Some of you lot need to wind your neck in and realise players and managers are people. By all means complain about performances and selections, offer your view of what you would do, but some of this stuff is just personal abuse.

There are a few numpties on here who don't rate him and who I wholeheartedly disagree with, but I don't recall seeing any personal abuse on here. Happy to be corrected if there has been any.
I offer no comment on the facebook supporters group or twitter, haven't seen either.

I prefer PT's interviews because 1) he speaks better 2) we get in depth (compared to RW) answers and 3) I can understand him, I still have trouble with RW's accent in particular when he gets excited/upset.

I agree, RW has done wonders at our club and one of his endearing traits in his interviews is that he says it as it really is. Of course, he can be criticised as no one is perfect, but this continuous moaning at him, and his son, is unnecessary and very hurtful. I wonder if those who are so critical work in a profession where they get similar criticism levelled at them and can just shrug it off? I doubt it. We have a good squad and am sure RW will get the results expected. The last thing we need now is for him to go.

Another possibility is Richie knows what is being said on social media and he is upset. Probably doesn’t want to take any interviews at the moment in case he says something he is going to regret saying later. As far as I’m concerned, we have some real morons following this club and if we hound out one of the best managers we’ve ever had and things go South we’ll know who to blame
Thank you RedDwarf a voice of reason, seeing how it really is.
Football is about opinions which makes it one of the best sports in the world but some on here & other media portals like X & the Facebook supports group go beyond the boundaries & get personal which is bang out of order.
We all go to work in the week & we all look forward to going to watch football on the weekend as an outlet, enjoyment & for me a family day out but sadly some people take it so serious if we lose they start slagging off the players & demanding the manager gets sacked, how sad & bored their lives must be, for F..k sake it's social enjoyment.
We are Orient in L1 eventually hoping to get in the Championship, not Basket case Chelsea or Spurs who sack their managers if the day ends in Y.
Yes it's Ritchies job to attend interviews but ask yourself a question, if your trying to do your best in your job & people are slagging you off for trying & then some are slagging off your own son aswell, wouldn't you be pissed off???
Nepotism? Some on here didn't know the meaning of the word until last November & i bet you had to look it up in the dictionary.
A new meaning of the word Nepotism : someone who expects to win every game.

Mate, your whole nepo shtick is personal abuse. To say Charlie is not good enough to be in the team is fair enough, but to say he's in the team because he's Richie's son is an attack on Richie's personal integrity.
