Hull isn't round the corner from Gateshead, its a good 2+ hour drive.LittleMate wrote: Mon Oct 05, 2026 1:33 pmHis brother is a reserve keeper at Hull and so i'd imagine he could be staying with him, which may have been part of the attraction in going up there to begin with. That will help him a fair bit - and the experience will help him appreciate the value of being in a stable environment.Crunchie wrote: Mon Oct 05, 2026 1:11 pm It seemed mad at the time, given that even an idiot could so what was going on there. I assume the poor lad is stuck there now, until Jan at the earliest.

Gateshead players not being paid. Seems like a potential lack of due diligence in terms of sorting out his loan move.

If we’re serious about Noahs future, we’d get him the hell out of there and sorted out somewhere sensible.

From *yesterday*: "Gateshead expect players to be paid on Tuesday".
That's Tuesday *next week*. They haven't been paid September's wages and have yet to be paid October's. So they are not "paid" and that is not "outdated beliefs".
Some are very quick to ignore publicly available facts and instead argue with everyone else just for the sake of it. Maybe some people should spend less time doing that.

Re: Noah Phillips
We should recall Noah out of this loan . It’s not doing him or us any good . Next time we loan out any of our players , no matter what level they’re playing at , make sure those clubs are stable

I see you read from the bbc adticle rather
than the one from The Horses Mouth,
" Conscious That Players & staff wages were now a week overdue , we agreed to progress matters in two stages.
Firstly, Flacks Group would provide an Immediate loan, sufficient to cover wages, before moving on to due dilligence with the intention of completing a takeover by next Friday. Following completion Flacks would provide further funds to cover past due debts & working capital ."
