A handful of MPs elected to other parties are just crossing the floor to try and save their own hides. That's not the same as more people voting Lib Dem, is it?

No and nobody is claiming that. Bi-election / Euro election results tell a different story though.

Whether we end up staying in the EU or not there should be a new law that say's if an MP changes political party's then there has to be a by-election in that MPs constituency.

What really annoys me the most is the LibDems have the balls to call themselves democrats . Just revoke article 50 and walk away and ignore over 17 million leave votes . Un - bloody - believable .

I'm not sure what your problem with it is.

Opposition parties are there to oppose. If their policy is to revoke then people get to decide if they want that at a General Election. It doesn't come much more democratic than that.

If they're swept into power (unlikely) then are you going to still complain that a non-binding referendum from 2016 should take precedence?

Who needs democracy. Just look at how our MP's are working.

Any party that goes against democracy, will suffer the consequences. As if they outwardly show that they can go against a democratic vote, then what else will they decide to change once in charge?

A party that i can no longer consider able to vote for.

A few weeks ago he was running for the Leadership of the Tory Party and now he's defected. Bizarre.

I hope the good folk of East Surrey show him the door at the next General Election.

Really? 48% will disagree with that and many of the 52% too. Factor in also the lazy yoof who couldn’t be bothered last time who won’t make the same mistake again.

Wrong again Spin.

There is nothing I said that is wrong.

The Lim Dem policy is to oppose the Implementation of the result of the democratic vote.

That is not wrong it's a fact
Shame the 52% weren’t give the true facts about leaving. Boris is a bullshitte!! Of the first degree!
What lies exactly?

Never been impressed with him when I have heard him speak in various debates on the tv.
Seemed completely inadequate and out of his depth when I saw him on question time when he was a Conservative minister.

ComeOnYouOs wrote: Sun Sep 15, 2019 11:26 am So many Tories are defecting to the Lib Dems, the Lib Dems are becoming more right wing, and look a bit like the moderate tory party now.

The real Tory party is left with the really hard right wing types now. Wonder how many tory voters will continue to vote for these hard right tories now. I suspect most will.
This country is slowly lurching towards fascism little by little IMO

Once again, he didn't defect. He was kicked out, and then subsequently chose to join another party.

It remains (lol) to be seen where he chooses to stand next time around. There seems little point any of these MPs standing down and triggering a by-election now, when a General Election is so close.

PS I wonder what it is about black, slightly foreign, Remainer MP that makes so many Brexiters feel contemptuous about him?
