I would say give Ross another 7 games. That will be enough games played to see if we are in any trouble. If we are comfortable then he stays if not then bring in someone with Ross stepping back as coach. Wouldn't want to see him leave altogether as he is a good servant to the club and is an excellent no2/coach.

I cannot image any new manager being perfect. Ross got it wrong 1st half and admitted. But all mangers get things wrong, it is just about motivation and getting the best out of the team.
Ross is doing a fair job. He is learning, that is obvious. As long as he continues to do so then no change is needed.

If we continue on current Form 7 games we cold be bottom and many points adrift, it is not worth the risk.
If we get into that position don't forget the club need to advertise for a new manager, interview the applicants and then choose, this in itself can take weeks if not months to get the right applicant, by then we could be so far adrift it would take a miracle worker to save us .
If we get within 3 points of the bottom place we must have a proven manager at this level to take over, we are currently only 7 points adrift so an advert for the Managers job needs to go in if we lose our next game to allow reasonable time to interview and appoint a new proven Manager at this level.

Based on current form another 7 games would have us on 16 points after 14 games. Why would be adrift at the bottom?

Because potentially if teams below us win 2 games and we lose 2 we will be 2nd from bottom.
Potentially if we lose 3 games and teams below us win we will be bottom and 2 points adrift, that's just after 3 games it's not rocket science.
If we wait for 7 games we could be bottom and 14 points adrift.

Ignoring current league form which continues to get worse, my potential workings are accurate !

To be honest the chances of us finishing bottom is slim, but the support will drop off a cliff if we are producing a load of crap every week with no signs of progress.

Is byways 1 the new alias for IAIWW and various other bulls hit wind up accounts? If so, naff all from him last year, then straight back to the old shtick as soon as things get challenging.

I didn't like the way, he talked on Radio London about the positives they could take even from such a defeat, even if he did admit getting things wrong to begin with. I remember Lingy, Geraint and Davis (and I'll forget those in charge during the clown's era) trying to take "positives" from a defeat. There are no positives in such a defeat IMO.

Spot on , defeat is a loss of points and points are what we need to avoid relegation or gain promotion. No amount of apologies can turn a negative into a positive for yesterday’s result.

Have to agree. The club spends too much time trying to spin events.

Not even Close to being a majority
4 of 5 nut nuts on here & a couple of jeremy kyle contestants on sufto hardly makes a majority.
Now stop doing a Boris & creating an argument
you are not going to win.

Ross has taken over in the most difficult circmstances imaginable, how quickly we forget. The squad is not good enough and I don't think if JE was still here we have more than another 2 points. We should give him more time as we are very unlikely to be relegated as the team is certainly not that bad and then next season try for a promotion push.

But that's just your anti-Orient bias. You expect us to continue on our present trajectory but not other teams in their worse positions. Why?
