Sam Ling had a very decent game yesterday
Happe also did ok
Salford goal I blame on Angol
He’s the nearest player to the goal scorer from the throw in didn’t get close and to late to realise what was happening

Decent point and looks like we got very lucky.
Their goal, whilst a decent finish, is worse than schoolboy defending. No organisation. How can they be allowed to throw the ball on, one touch and a goal?
Think you should give your ratings on the ratings thread totally based on this 2 minute clip.
Why the constant digs? It's a thread about the highlights...theres a clip of the goal, i commented on it. Or was it great defending if you were at the ground?

Angol was at fault for their header, their man nudges him and creates space for a free header.
Not sure if the bigger fault should be down to the organisation of the whole thing. We have three great defenders in the air, should it not be down to one of them to pick up one of their main threats?
For the goal you can see Angol pointing at Towell, as if to say to someone to watch him, but nobody arrives. I think that was to Brophy but he comes in too late and on the wrong side as well.

Good interview. RE seemed more confident and assertive in his role of interim manager than when I have have seen him interviewed in the past.
Next few months will tell if he gets the job full time.

Pretty much wrong on all counts.
Happe was superb. Playing out of position, missed a few weeks but still comes in and does a job like that. It’s noticeable how he’s growing week by week.
Angol was on the thrower, he pointed out the spare man to Brophy but he didn’t get back in time. The problem was there was no covering CM, there was tons of open space in front of our centre backs and the guy exploited it perfectly. It comes down to poor organisation and shape, its basic stuff. Clay was also dragged into the throw and was sitting in someone’s toes,he shouldn’t have been. At least he was in shot, no idea where Wright was.
No comment on Lingy in case anyone on here starts crying again.

I don't post on here often enough to go in for constant digs. You also commented on the game as a whole "Decent point and looks like we got very lucky." We dominated the second half and were worth at least a point.

Dominated possession, yes. But how many chances?
We could have - arguably should have - gone 2-0 down. I think a draw was a fair result. We never deserved the win.

If not for an absolute wonder saves and some poor finishing, we would have been 2,3-0 down at half time. Then we get a last minute equaliser where the keeper literally kicks it into his own net. I’d call that a bit lucky.

The lob was pretty routine. The cross field pass to Brophy was excellent. Credit where due.
Completely correct. Lastly, so what hat are you wearing today ?
Your normal one of ''Captain Sensible'' or the ''realms of fantasy'' one of Corporal Jones, the one you wore for a few days after the away win at Mansfield !!
Today I’m Pike. Just did the Corrie Tour (fantastic) but got wetter than a fish.

So Angol points the man is free but doesn’t close him down himself considering he was marking a ghost before the throw
Lol

Green missed a sitter and on another occasion the ball dropped right by thier goal line needing a touch of any kind to convert it into a goal , i thought a draw was a fair result .

All these comments about players pointing. At one point, no pun intended, at a set piece I counted no fewer than 7 Orient players pointing, one was pointing with both hands. It struck me that either we have an incredible number of leaders on the field, multiple Captains or nobody knows what the feck is going on.

Just watched it back.
Yep, Angol was at fault. I thought he was the spare man but we were already 3 on 2 in there. He should have gone with the bloke, not hands him on. Marks to Brophy for trying to get back in there.
Doesn’t change the fact we shouldn’t leave so much space in front of the back line for them to attack, we effectively have 2 holding CMs, that shouldn’t be happening.

I must go in an away end one game seems you see a lot more of what’s going on or your transferred to Walter Mitty land

I pay attention during games, I noticed players having a right go at each other when Salford scored, I noticed Coulson giving Brill a right mouthful after one poor clearance and Coulson puffing like an old donkey, failing to get back early in the game. I noticed Ling on a couple of occasions giving up the chase on a Salford breaks. I watch people, I notice things. Bad habit.

So your 7 players pointing has already gone down to 0 now you mention 3 different players shouting at each other
Sure it wasn’t the unused subs who started the ruck after the game

Funny how the totally anonymous Right Back shows up twice with 2 good balls in just a 2 minute clip.
Some boarders have such a downer on certain players they're completely blinkered when they perform well.
Just makes you look a fool in the end
Yes I also made that same observation about the Ling passes in my ''highlights'' comment that I put above. I was checking the video and noting the times and by the time I posted it, you also made the same point about Ling, yes he did well with those two passes !!
Listening to Dave Victor yesterday, I thought Sam had changed his name by deed pole to Lingdoeswell. Every simple touch of the ball was greeted with that phrase, it was embarrassing.
I assume you are referring to the lob to the back post from the corner and then the pass to Brophy for the goal? Do you honestly think they are anything other than routine passes for a professional footballer?
The lob is over hit as it goes. There’s no way anyone is scoring from beyond the back post.
Tell that to Marco van Basten.

I like Angol but not sure he’s quite in that class. At least not yet.
